Dinges has steadily climbed the rankings since we saw him for the first time going into his junior season, and he recently announced he will be taking a post grad year at Fork Union which should allow him to get seen by division one schools with another year of development. The 6'6” wing has been turning potential into production gradually over the years as he's able to take defenders off the bounce and use his size and athleticism at the rim when he gets downhill, he can knock down open shots from deep, and he really thrives defensively with his ability to challenge shots and switch to guard multiple positions.

Maria transferred to Hargrave from Bethel Academy, and he's a player that coaches should really take a look at as he can impact the game across the board on the offensive end of the floor particularly. The 6'5” wing has gotten really bouncy over the past few years and can play above the rim with the best of them, he can knock down shots from deep off the catch and works well off the bounce to get to spots in the midrange, and he shows great patience and vision as a passer and playmaker too.

13) [player_tooltip player_id='2612827' first='Logan' last='Jones'] | 6'7” SF | Potomac School (#34 Overall)

Jones is one of the highest upside players in the all of the DMV, and with a couple of additions he'll be able to play on the perimeter this year when he's often been forced to play in the post in the past, and the Brown commit has been nothing short of fantastic for Potomac School the past few years. The 6'7” wing has a great wingspan and is a big time athlete who can play above the rim and rebound well, he is dynamic in transition both handling the ball and running the floor, he can guard multiple positions, and with more reps he should be able to become a good shooter from deep at the next level.

12) Caleb Straighter | 6'7” SF | Varina (#32 Overall)

Straughter is another player we've watched develop since seeing him as a sophomore, and he's emerged into a very intriguing long term prospect with his improvements that will only continue to get better as he gets into the weight room and continues to polish. He has a basketball frame with long arms and is a fluid and explosive athlete in the open floor, he can knock down shots from deep off the catch, he's improved a lot in his ability to create off the bounce, and he has tons of upside defensively with his length and athleticism.

Valencia was one of the biggest stock risers in the state and in the DMV after a big summer with Team Durant and his Evergreen team during the high school live periods, and after picking up multiple division one offers he committed to Delaware ahead of the season. He had a fantastic preseason where he showed his versatility and production consistently. At 6'6” he has good positional size but great patience like a guard to allow plays to develop and make the right play, he can score it from all three levels both off the catch and off the bounce, he's very good posting up smaller defenders in the paint, and he's a big time competitor on both ends.

10) [player_tooltip player_id='2612817' first='Colin' last='Byrd'] | 6'4” SG | Tuscarora (#24 Overall)

Byrd was a breakout performer at DMV Live going into his junior season at PVI, but after they got a few transfers that sent him to the bench he transferred to Tuscarora midseason last season and he hit the ground running becoming one of the best players in the NOVA public schools and reminding everyone that he's a division one prospect. The 6'4” two guard is the perfect “3 and d” archetype as he is a dead eye shooter from deep with a quick release and range, he moves his feet well and has good length to challenge shots and get deflections, he brings great energy on both ends of the floor and takes on the challenge of guarding the other team's best player, and he's shown improvement in his ability to make plays off the bounce too.

9) [player_tooltip player_id='1692243' first='Korie' last='Corbett'] | 6'4” SF | Oak Hill Academy (#20 Overall)

Corbett transferred to Oak Hill before the season coming from South Carolina, and he will probably move up this list when I get familiar with him from everything I've seen on tape and in research with him as he's been a national prospect for quite a while now. The 6'4” wing is a player who can impact the game in a lot of different ways as he's a natural scorer who can play on or off the ball and make tough shots from multiple levels, he has good feel and is an unselfish playmaker when defenders hone in on him, he uses his athleticism to finish at the rim and rebound, and he has good instincts on the defensive end too.

8) [player_tooltip player_id='2459209' first='Justin' last='Edwards'] | 6'4” SG | Bishop O'Connell (#19 Overall)

Edwards has been a player we have watched since he was a sophomore at West Potomac, and since he's transferred to Bishop O'Connell he has stayed the course and improved throughout his time to the point he's produced in some of the biggest spots for them and is now one of their go-to guys. The 6'4” wing is already built like he's ready for college basketball with a strong frame that allows him to be physical and dish out contact on both ends, he has a great motor that makes a good rebounder and he makes a lot of hustle plays, he is a great finisher and moves well using cuts to get to the rim, and he can make shots from multiple levels too.

7) [player_tooltip player_id='2306290' first='Jhett' last='Carter'] | 6'5” SF | Hargrave (#18 Overall)

Carter is one of three returners for a Hargrave team that made a run to the National Prep Championship Tournament last season, and throughout last year and over the summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2226307' first='Team' last='Loaded VA'] he showed a lot of improvement that makes him one of the most under recruited player in the state and maybe all of prep basketball. The 6'5” wing has a great basketball frame and is a big time athlete who plays above the rim with explosiveness and no fear challenging people. We've been able to watch his improvement as a catch-and-shoot threat from deep, he improved as a playmaker and ball handler when he was forced to move on the ball last year, and he makes a huge impact defensively with his ability to guard multiple positions and the energy he brings too.

6) [player_tooltip player_id='2242380' first='Ruey' last='Ruey'] | 6'4” SG | Massanutten (#17 Overall)

When I said Carter is one of the most under recruited players in the state and all of prep basketball, Ruey is the other one I would consider as he's been a starter for Massanutten since he was a sophomore and has been a staple in them making the National Prep Tournament the last two years, and he's done nothing but improved and got more consistent over the past three years. He's been on an absolute tear to start the season averaging over 20 points per game against some of the top prep schools in the country, he's showing his ability to efficiently score the ball off the catch and off the bounce from multiple levels, he has made great decisions to make plays for others, and he's a very good defender both on the ball and in help side too.
