November Week 3 Late Week Seven Standout Performers

With plenty of basketball going on in the area on Thursday and Friday evening, there was a high amount of opportunity to see a lot of talented basketball players hit the court. Below are just a few of the players that put together some impressive performances and are continuing to prove themselves as college prospects.    One of the top scorers in the state continued to show why college coaches should be giving him a call sooner than later with his outstanding performance against Fayetteville Christian on Thursday night. He went for 50 Points in the win, scoring the ball in all types of ways and handling different types of pressure without issue.     In his debut with Douglas Byrd, he led his team with 30 Points, double digit rebounds and brought high energy from start to finish. We love that he doesn't mind playing through physical contact and has the ability to play inside the paint or step outside and knock down the trey ball.     His team was in a back-and-forth battle with Pine Forest on Friday night, and despite foul trouble he still managed to find ways to make an impact on the game. He saved his best play for last, knocking down a game winning three-point shot at the buzzer to give his team the win.     Showed some flashes of how good he could be in their matchup with Topsail HS. Although he is still a young talent, he already has the eyes of college coaches on him and rightfully so. He has the ability to make a high number of plays from the wing and already has impressive athletic ability.     A gifted scorer that knows how to get to his spots and use his physical traits to get the job done, he is one to keep an eye on this season. He stepped up numerous times for his team with timely buckets in a game that would go down to the wire.      One of the leading scorers for his team, he understands how to use his upper body strength to get into the paint to make plays. He played well through contact to score but also showed his ability to knock down the three-point shot at a solid rate.     The Point Guard looked very comfortable in his role at his new school in their opener on Thursday night. He helped run the team smoothly and did all the small things that often get overlooked. Making the extra pass, applying defensive pressure, taking charges and scoring when needed were all things we saw from him against Cape Fear.
