Each community and parish has their local sports GURU and Ouachita and Lincoln Parish has the Mr. Pickem Grissom. He is a one stop shop for all things athletic from the current state of regional athletics along with the history. His list is one of the most debated and discussed products, and in most cases, I agree with his logic even though I may not agree with the list. Nonetheless. He's carried his to team three consecutive top 28 bids, but has get to bring home the crown. His ability to get to the basket is unguardable and he is an tenacious defender. He is the type of player that will have every stat box checked. Prep's title hopes lie on the back of Spann because they will only go as far as he will take them. Although he may be the least recognized, he led the team in scoring and 3 point percentage in 2024-2025. The long guard can get to his spots on the floor and is lethal from beyond the arc. He may be a tad low on the list, but everyone in Lincoln Parish knows his importance. He has the talent to play Division I ball and will also have the size. At 6'4 he plays the wing and is a deadly shooter. He can also put it on the ground and get a bucket. Throughout four Varsity years at Neville he has been asked to play all five positions, but he is just a natural hooper. He is an above average rebounder, defends at a high level and has developed the jumper from 15" and out. The tiger's success will depend on Smith's output and Mr. Grissom predicts a 15PPG, 6RPG and 3 SPG type of season. The senior combo guard has improved every season and after playing in the shadows of Bell and Addison, he is set to lead a Patriots team to a long run at a title.
