Smith is recognized as a top player in North Louisiana for his overall athleticism, basketball IQ, ability to make shots and his in game production. This season he has channeled his skills to be more efficient and added facilitating to his game. He is a high school wing, but at the next level he could easily transition to point guard. Smith is one of the most versatile players in the area. Throughout four Varsity years at Neville he has been asked to play all five positions, but he is just a natural hooper. He is an above average rebounder, defends at a high level and has developed the jumper from 15″ and out. Smith has established himself as a standout player over the years, and his game has steadily improved to the point where he’s ready to lead a talented Neville squad. A long guard, he prefers to get his buckets by attacking the rim, but he’s also a skilled mid-range shooter and an elite three-point shooter. Smith is a hustle player with a next-play mentality, constantly giving maximum effort on both ends of the court. Currently ranked as a Top 25 player in the state, he has the potential to move even higher in the rankings with increased scoring responsibility this season.

He is an unpredictable offensive player as he uses the full court to score his points. He can go left or right, shoot the three ball, mid range or finish at the rim and he is a good decicion maker. His standout performance of the Classic was a 21 point scoring burst versus a tough West Monroe team. He is capable of scoring 20 in any game and has eclipsed that mark a few times already in this young season. If SMith continues this type of play look for Neville to be a threat in 5A, and his stock to rise in the 2026 rankings.
