He can shoot it from very deep—off of both the catch and the dribble—but he also does an excellent job putting the rock on the floor and using crossover moves to get to the rim. He has the ball on a string and is incredibly fundamental with his handle and feel, and he also has a knack for getting teammates involved with a variety of flashy look-away passes. Fortier was a star for St. Mary's last season, and his improved strength and size will only help him continue to make waves in the MIAA.

Jenkins has been out of the mix for a bit due to a hand/wrist injury, but the 5-foot-10 guard is one of the more exciting underclassmen scorers in the MIAA. He can get hot at any moment and when his shot is falling from three and he's feeling himself, he can go on some pretty special shooting/scoring runs. Jenkins should be a key cog for a really solid Catholic Memorial team that he'll probably be able to facilitate for a bit more than he can for his Dana Barros AAU team. Some added strength and height would be huge for his game, too, but he's skilled and tough enough to light it up.

Conner is a super intriguing sophomore who has tons of potential as well as the shooting and athleticism necessary to be effective at the MIAA level right now. The 6-foot-3 wing elevates well and has good upper body strength, so he should be able to clean up the boards for a Mansfield team that loves to play fast and run. Offensively, he'll be able to finish lots of dump downs and cuts near the hoop and will showcase his outside shooting ability within Mansfield's cutting system. Conner is still growing into his body and learning to play, but he should make an impact this year.

Araujo has some awesome feel for his age. The 6-foot guard has solid quickness and jumping talent, but he knows he has to change speeds and directions effectively to truly unlock his paint-touch ability — and he fully leans into that. He has a nice rhythm and cadence to how he handles the basketball, and he can finish in a variety of ways at the rim. But Araujo also shoots it very well from three and can do so off of the dribble and the catch, too, so he's versatile on that end. He'll play a key role for Xaverian Brothers this season and is only going to continue to get better with his IQ and feel for the game.

Magloire has an incredibly bright future ahead. The 6-foot-2 sophomore can do it all offensively and has a growing physical frame that will probably look a lot different by the time he's an upperclassman. But right now, he's a really solid outside shooter who attacks closeouts well and can use his athleticism and strength to body opposing guards and wings in the lane. Magloire started and played quite well for St. John's Prep last season, but he's well positioned to be even more dominant this year, especially after a really successful AAU season with the Mass Rivals. Total stud.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been previewing some standout players across all divisions of the MIAA. Though prep schools get lots of the love when it comes to basketball exposure, there is still absolutely a good amount of talent in the MIAA.
