DuPage Valley Stacked with Highly Ranked Young Prospects

The #2 sophomore in Illinois is a lefty wing with size and elite skill.&nbsp; Look for him to post on a nightly basis for this squad.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='2839878' first='Mason' last='Martin'] is his junior running mate that can absolutely shoot lights out from the perimeter!&nbsp; Emerged this summer as one of the premier snipers in the state.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='2532320' first='Eli' last='Poulakidas'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2382445' first='Luke' last='Johnson'] are two quality role players.&nbsp; Post Darlin Aghomi along with [player_tooltip player_id='2415557' first='Carter' last='Coviello'] and Danny Mikuta are worth monitoring as well.<br><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Contenders</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Metea Valley</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2334404' first='Tre' last='Watkins'] is an Illinois-Springfield commit who is one of the more underappreciated prospects in the state.&nbsp; High level athlete with his wiry frame.&nbsp; He can explode up vertically for monster jams.&nbsp; Plays both on and off the ball.&nbsp; A couple of highly ranked sophomores give this group a ceiling if [player_tooltip player_id='2819731' first='Solomon' last='Morrison'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2842584' first='Sincere' last='Williams'] can continue to develop in the front court.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='1874847' first='Michael' last='Allen'] is a solid player as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Waubonsie Valley</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last year this team was 31-1, but they lose a pair of prospects that changed their program.&nbsp; Now it is 2027 small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2125659' first='Kristopher' last='Mporokoso'] who is the lead guy.&nbsp; Top 10 junior is a lefty small forward with a sweet jumper.&nbsp; Has improved his game off the bounce and as a playmaker.&nbsp; Looking for him to become a dominant force!&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='1874669' first='Aidan' last='Lee'] is a sharp shooting upperclassmen guard that will bring some pop in the backcourt.&nbsp; A couple of young players that we like are sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2766431' first='Kyler' last='Payne'] and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2906817' first='Kaidan' last='Mporokoso'].&nbsp; Payne is a big man that as a sophomore should provide a presence on the glass and scoring down low.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='2619610' first='Tate' last='Bartzen'] is a quality shooter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><br>Dekalb</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dekalb lost a lot from a really good team last year to graduation and it is expected that their athletic freak [player_tooltip player_id='2105355' first='Davon' last='Grant'] will enroll early at Illinois for football.&nbsp;
