His quick first step allows him to get downhill with ease, putting defenders on their heels and generating high quality looks at the rim. Grothe demonstrates poise and court awareness that sets him apart for his age. With his combination of skill, speed and improved confidence, he's a prospect to watch this season     Wood returns as the leading scorer and statistical leader for at Falcon, coming off a season averaging 8.2 points, 4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game. He gained valuable experience and took his game to another level over the summer. With the ball in his hands he sees the floor exceptionally well, creating opportunities for teammates while remaining a constant scoring threat himself. Defenders who give him space quickly learn he can punish them from anywhere. His awareness, decision making and growth make Wood one of the top players in the conference and a key driver of his team's success
