Prep Hoops SC was in Spartanburg, South Carolina, for the Upward Stars Fall League on Tuesday and Wednesday. Although they are not affiliated with their High Schools, Fall Leagues are a great chance for prospects to get out on the court with their teams and continue to prepare for the upcoming season. Check out my evaluations on six guards who impressed in Week Six of the 2025 Upward Stars Fall League:

First up on my list of Guards from the Upward Stars Fall League is [player_tooltip player_id='1738179' first='Jyssiah' last='Foster']. He is the embodiment of a scrappy Guard, never taking plays off and always fighting for loose balls. Foster will create havoc on the defensive end with quick hands and often capitalizes on the other end with transition scores. Jyssiah had a pair of driving assists and scored the ball well for B & G United (Greer) on Tuesday, putting up 13 points and 2 assists.

Williams might not get the shine of some of the other players on his team, but he is an important player for Roebuck 1 (Dorman). Carter has a good feel for finding teammates on drives, setting up guys in the dunker spot, on the wings, or in the corners. He is also capable of playing off the ball with spot-up shooting and the ability to hit one or two dribble pull-ups. Williams battled well on the defensive end in a matchup with Green Mountain (Christ School), even getting assigned to their bigs at times.

Eric filled up the stat sheet for Pitt Crew (Union County) on Tuesday, racking up 5 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. He is not always the most aggressive as a scorer, even though he has the talent to, but Gray has tremendous vision and is eager to put his teammates in good positions. He also helps his team win with his effort on the glass on both ends of the floor.

A new name that I came away with from Week 6 of the Upward Stars Fall League is [player_tooltip player_id='2993595' first='Ivan' last='Williams']. He is a big-bodied Guard who had lots of success getting the ball into the paint for The Land (Landrum). Despite having lots of success using his size to finish in the lane and pull up in the mid-range, the ball never felt like it suck to Williams' hands. Ivan also made a few plays on the defensive end by jumping passing lanes and controlling the glass. He finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in the win.

Brandon was very impressive in Team Armstrong (Eastside)'s win in Week 6. He really got going as a scorer in the second half, putting up 13 of his 15 total points over the last 20 minutes. Ray did so at all three levels with an off-the-dribble three, a mid-range pull-up, and finishes with both hands at the rim. Brandon also showed some flashes of his playmaking ability, tallying a pair of assists that came off paint touches.

Rounding out the list of Guards from this week in Spartanburg is [player_tooltip player_id='2554841' first='Huck' last='Flinn']. Flinn is the youngest player on this list, but is already getting big minutes for Hammett Bridge (Riverside). He displayed his defensive IQ with a variety of steals on Wednesday Night and turned them all into points on the other end. In the half-court offense, Huck is a creative scorer with a crafty handle and versatile shot-making.
