As more and more prospects go off of the board and the high school season draws nearer it is time to run back a recurring series here at Prep Hoops Indiana where we highlight some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position. These are players that definitely can play at the college level, and many of them have interest already, but remain uncommitted at this time. Here are six forwards/centers that college coaches need to have eyes on heading into the Indiana High School Basketball season.

Bennett had a breakout junior season at Herron-Riverside High School averaging 10.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. He is a strong interior presence with a good array of post moves that he uses to score with his back to the basket. The 6'5" forward/center has shown some face-up ability as well, but is at this best using his physicality around the basket. Several Division III programs have expressed serious interest in Bennett.

Doolin really caught our attention when watching Greenwood play Plainfield last season. He nearly helped lead the Woodman to an upset victory as the 6'6" forward knocked in a couple of three-point shots and drove it along the baseline for a big two-handed dunk. His offensive versatility and athleticism are very, very intriguing. Small college programs looking for a bouncy forward that can stretch the floor should be all over Doolin heading into his senior season.

This under-the-radar big man showed some real flashes over the course of the summer. Herzog averaged a career-best 8.2 points and 6.9 rebounds last season as a junior and could see significant jumps in both categories this season based on what we saw over the summer. He finishes well around the basket, passes it well out of the post, and does a good job of impacting shots on the defensive end of the floor. Small college programs looking for a 6'7" center should definitely consider checking out this Covington High School senior.

We had the opportunity to see Norton play recently when attending Decatur Central High School open gym. Norton really stands out as a rebounder and rim protector. He does a great job of going to get the ball outside of his area and can play above the rim both as a finisher and shot blocker. As his skill level continues to develop he could really breakout into a high-upside interior presence. The 6'6" center is a good candidate for the prep school or junior college route in order to round out his game.

This 6'7" center will be the focal point of NorthWood's offense this season. He is a big, strong presence on the low block with an old-school package of post moves. On the defensive end he has the requisite strength to hold his ground and does a great job of clearing out space to rebound the basketball. Pearson recently picked up an offer from Spring Arbor and has been to several other quality small college programs. He is a very, very high academic prospect.

We were really impressed with the growth of Peter's game over the course of the summer. He was a consistent top performer on the Prep Hoops Circuit with INB Elite dominating around the basket as a big 6'8" presence. Peters rebounds the ball well, can finish with both hands at the rim, and is tough to score on defensively. Look for small college programs to continue getting involved with him as he enters his senior season at Heritage Christian.
