The annual Prep Hoops Iowa Expo took place in Des Moines on Saturday afternoon, with approximately 100 players from the sophomore through senior classes taking the floor. Myself, Eliot Clough, and Healey Hill were in attendance throughout the event taking notes on every player in attendance, and we'll have a slew of coverage coming throughout the next week. I was primarily responsible for covering Teams 1, 2, 9, and 10, while Eliot handled Teams 5, 6, and 8, and Healey had Teams 3, 4, and 7.

Gorsh showcased his sharpshooting throughout the afternoon, routinely burying shots off the catch. He moves really well without the ball in his hands, has good footwork to get his feet set before he catches, and has a really quick release. He does a nice job using the threat of his jumper to open up the rest of his offensive arsenal, attacking off the dribble and getting into the teeth of the defense where he can either score or distribute the ball.

In all honesty, this is one oft he most surprising inclusions on this list, as last season Villagomez went just 1-3 from behind the arc for Charles City. He looked like a much more confident shooter than that throughout the afternoon on Saturday, burying shots off both the dribble and the catch routinely. He's really comfortable shooting 3s above the break, showing solid form and getting good rotation on his shot. His confidence seemed to grow with each passing possession, and he'll be looking to carry that into his senior year with the Comets.

DeWinter showcased the ability to play both with and without the ball in his hands throughout the afternoon, operating as a talented playmaker when he had the ball, and moving well without it, finding open spaces in the defense to knock down shots off the catch. He's a pure shooter who does a great job getting his feet set and squared before catching. He also showcased some two-way ability, a long, active defender who moves his feet well.

Troster may be one of the best pure shooters in the state, regardless of class. He's a highly active offensive player who is constantly moving without the ball, finding spaces in the defense to get his shot off. He has a really quick release off the catch and gets the ball into his shooting pocket quickly off the bounce. He makes shooting the basketball look easy and effortless, and he'll be able to take full advantage of the open looks that his skilled ADM teammates will get him.

Like Villagomez, Montgomery was a surprising inclusion on this list, going 10-40 (25%) from the 3-point line as a sophomore. He looked confident in his stroke throughout the afternoon, keeping the ball high on his jumper, which when paired with his 6-6 frame, makes it really difficult to contest. He moves well without the ball in his hands, has a quick release off the catch, and handles it pretty well for a young wing with his size. He attacked overly aggressive closeouts and got to the rim off the dribble, was really good on the glass on both ends, and has the length to defend multiple spots. If my First Team All-Expo article had been expanded to six players, Montgomery would've been the sixth. He was really good.
