Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp: NJ 2028 standouts (Sunday)

Dinos Trigonis and the team at Pangos hosted their annual All-East Frosh/Soph Camp this past weekend, bringing in nearly two hundred underclassmen from across the East Coast. After taking in a full day of action on Sunday, we'll kick off coverage with a handful of 2028's from the Garden State who caught the eye with their play.    Perhaps the most powerful and explosive athlete in the gym, Johnson made a strong run at camp MVP honors in our viewing with his relentless attacking style. The rugged lefty was impossible to keep from the front of the rim, blowing by defenders off the bounce or finishing opportunistically off cuts or leakouts with a series of highlight dunks. He continues to flash improving polish with his ballhandling and shooting, which will be key areas to track for the highest levels moving forward, but Johnson's ability to consistently thrive with his bread-and-butter downhill attack has already attracted the eye of several high-major programs.     One half of a twin-towers duo at PVI that will both be covered here, Cisse is known for his motor and athletic prowess but showed notable growth in the skill department with some impressive flashes on Saturday. The native of Mali is still lacking in game experience but showed comfort both attacking off the bounce past slower forwards and stretching defenses out to the arc with a workable perimeter shooting stroke. With physical gifts to catch eyes up to the high-major level, Cisse has a ceiling that's readily apparent if he can continue to incorporate such finer points in his game moving forward.     Joining Pennington this year from Egg Harbor Township as a repeat-sophomore, Bell is coming off an injury but showed no signs of rust with his play this past weekend. A dynamic southpaw combo guard with microwave scoring ability, he was generating points in bunches with his explosive first step and stretches of prolific shotmaking. The game looks to be starting to slow down for Bell, who should have a chance to generate D1 attention in the years to come as he continues growing acclimated to playing with more talent around him.     Hamilton is built to impact a camp setting with his dynamic length and athleticism in the open floor, and he impressed by sticking to his strengths and showcasing useful instincts across the floor game in the process. The Canadian wing had his motor running on hot, streaking out in transition or crashing the glass for explosive finishes. The flashes Hamilton showed as a jump shooter will be key to monitor moving forward as he continues developing into a more well-rounded wing for the next level.     Camps can be difficult settings for big men as guards tend to dominate the ball in such an uptempo environment, but Malukila was nonetheless able to show himself as one of the more intriguing long-term prospects in the gym. Towering above nearly everyone in attendance at nearly 7', he was impactful controlling the paint but also showed useful flashes of shooting touch that make him a more ideal fit for the modern game if fully incorporated moving forward. With clear physical tools for the highest levels, Malukila boasts obvious upside as a two-way force up front when his motor is running consistently.
