<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is time for our annual Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class series.&nbsp; We have been doing this since the early years of PHI and it allows us to combine the sophomore, junior, and senior rankings to get an overall view of the talent in the state.&nbsp; Remember these are PROSPECT RANKINGS not necessarily what they will do this high school season.&nbsp; It is a long-term look!&nbsp; Here are prospects #1-#5!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#1 [player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] (Warren - 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last Year's Ranking: #3</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Davis is the top prospect in the state because of how much he impacts a game.&nbsp; He is a true floor general that elevates the play of everyone around him.&nbsp; The Warren junior impacts with his pinpoint passing.&nbsp; The southpaw is adept at running a team in the half court getting his big men the ball in positions to succeed and finding his wings where they do damage.&nbsp; As a scorer he has deep range on his three point shot draining them over and over.&nbsp; When defenders play up on him he will go right around them for scores in the paint on soft touch finishes.&nbsp; Pesky on ball defender that is the ultimate winner/leader in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#2 [player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] (Bolingbrook - 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last Year's Ranking: NR</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pettigrew might have the highest ceiling of any player in the state.&nbsp; Recently took over the top spot in the 2028 class after a magnificent summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''], Bolingbrook, and at Nike Elite 100.&nbsp; The reviews have been stellar out of open gyms as well.&nbsp; Size, athleticism, and skill combination as a two guard that can also play on the ball.&nbsp; Smooth shot creator that makes it look effortless with his three level scoring pop.&nbsp; Throws down big dunks above the rim.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#3 [player_tooltip player_id='2531981' first='Cole' last='Kelly'] (Neuqua Valley - 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last Year's Ranking: NR</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kelly is a no doubt high-major prospect with his size on the perimeter as the lefty has a strong frame with a sweet lefty shot.&nbsp; He can really pour it in with his shooting from beyond the arc.&nbsp; Mismatch player that can play inside and out with the best of them.&nbsp; Good rebounder and has solid passing instincts.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#4 [player_tooltip player_id='2105360' first='Lincoln' last='Williams'] (Kankakee – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last Year's Ranking: #4</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Williams is a long and rangy wing with plus athleticism.&nbsp; There were times where he completely took over games on both ends of the floor this summer.&nbsp; One game he was going against another top player on this list scoring at will with massive jams, feathery jumpers, and swatted shot after shot.&nbsp; I told him after “That was some Scottie Pippen stuff.”&nbsp; When he is that locked in there are not many better two way prospects in the state.&nbsp; Explosive athlete with a ton of upside!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#5 [player_tooltip player_id='2125674' first='Quinton' last='Kitt'] (East Peoria – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last Year's Ranking: #13</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kitt slid right into the clear #2 spot in the 2027 class with the departure of several other high profile players.&nbsp; We are huge Kitt fans with how well he stuffs the stat sheet on a night in and night out basis.&nbsp; Scores in a variety of ways, connective passer, rebounds on both ends, and really gets after it on the defensive end.&nbsp; The scary part is he is just scratching the surface of his potential!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
