HC Jamboree: Senior Standouts

There was plenty of talent ranging across local Maryland areas that all met under 2 gyms, along with a few girls squads making the trip. This article will highlight the top c/o 2026 performers from my time at the HC Jamboree. I thought Mehki did a good job of mixing his shot selection and remaining a threat to explode all game. Showed his skill shooting beyond the arc by making the defense pay with a few three-pointers. Stood out to me with his athleticism along with finesse and touch on the perimeter. Nice size at the forward position with skills that can translate well to the next level. Rebounded the ball well and took advantage of opportunities. Kishann was comfortable shooting the ball from range and knocked a few down from the perimeter. Showed impact in the paint consistently, finishing dunks and layups through traffic. Doesn't have blazing speed but makes up for it with his guard skill on both ends. Ashton defended the ball well and didn't give up an easy basket. Sweet shooting touch from the outside, swishing a couple of big catch-and-shoot threes. Had a couple nice drives through the lane resulting in big finishes through contact. He was able to drill a collection of three-pointers with confidence. When the defense closed in on him and forced a decision, John found his teammates well and put them in scoring positions. Very efficient game, missed some shots but only took makeable field goals. Confidence never wavered and the defensive pressure did not rattle him or his vision. I was very impressed with the way he made the right play with almost every touch. Drove to the paint with efficiency and kicked out to his shooters on time. His decision-making led to a breakaway win in FCA's second outing. He assisted a multitude of 3's from his consistent paint touches. Had some highlight dunks and always looked to finish strong when the opportunity arose. Great intangibles on the day, defending and hustling hard to keep the team uplifted even if they were the underdogs on paper.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
