A nearly 7-foot tall big man, LaFrentz has great footwork, soft touch around the rim, and does a really good job of using his size and length to protect the paint without fouling. The son of former NBA player Raef LaFrentz, it should come as no surprise that Cael has some serious talent and will help a Division I program next year. He has kept his recruitment close to the vest, but is no doubt garnering plenty of interest. He averaged 29.2 points 12.7 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game on 65.4% shooting and 72.5% from the free-throw line.

He has good footwork and touch around the rim, can step out and space the floor, and is a reliable free-throw shooter. Defensively he can play in multiple different coverage schemes, protecting the paint with his IQ and timing as a shot blocker. He has committed to stay home and play his college ball at Northern Iowa.

Schultz is one of the most talented three-level scorers in the state, posting 58-44-73 shooting splits while averaging 18.1 points per game last season. With his size (6-7), strength, and mobility, he can create plays off the dribble, post up smaller defenders, or step out and space the floor. If he were two inches taller, he'd probably be playing mid-major Division I ball next season. Instead, he'll head to play at Division II Rockhurst, where he could make an early impact with his intelligence, toughness, and scoring prowess.
