2028 Rankings Update: Top Wings

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The latest 2028 prospect rankings have been released by our PHI staff!&nbsp; Here we examine the best of the best at the wing position!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] (Bolingbrook)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pettigrew made the slight move from #2 overall to #1 in our latest rankings update.&nbsp; It was a combination of his dominant play with his high school team, EYBL play, and big time showing at Nike Elite 100.&nbsp; Two guard with size, athleticism, and the ability to create for himself and others.&nbsp; He is effective playing on and off the ball.&nbsp; The jump shot consistency has really taken a big step forward.&nbsp; Great feel in transition getting to the rim where he has excellent body control.&nbsp; Shows flashes as passer and has potential as a defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2531981' first='Cole' last='Kelly'] (Neuqua Valley)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kelly is a big time prospect that brings size, strength, and elite shot making from the perimeter.&nbsp; He is an inside/outside threat that can really let it fly from the perimeter.&nbsp; One of the best shooters in the state with a free and effortless southpaw stroke.&nbsp; Can cut off the ball, has good instincts, and does the little things well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] (Oswego)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Vahl is such a smooth and fun player to watch.&nbsp; He is a feathery jump shooter that is nothing but net from both two and three on a consistent basis.&nbsp; Does it both off the dribble and spotting up from three.&nbsp; Slithery driver that knifes through the defense for acrobatic layups.&nbsp; Also at the Sophomore ID Camp he showed growth as a passer off live dribbles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2194655' first='Braydon' last='Porter'] (Yorkville)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Porter is a big, strong, and athletic small forward that has a bright future!&nbsp; He is a dynamic downhill slasher that gets to the rim with such force and burst.&nbsp; Quick acceleration on his first step where he finishes above the rim with big dunks.&nbsp; The skill level continues to improve with his tight handles and is a more consistent jump shooter.&nbsp; Love his long term potential as a wing defender!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2542412' first='Chase' last='Kasten'] (Normal Community)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kasten was already a top 10 player coming into the Sophomore ID Camp, but elevated his stock even more with a strong outing.&nbsp; Elite shot maker at 6'5” who pours them in one after another from mid-range and three with clean shot and rise off the ground.&nbsp; Brings athleticism to the table as well both in the half court on drives and in transition.&nbsp; Connective passer and above average defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532003' first='Joey' last='Jakstys'] (Yorkville)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jakstys is making the move into the top 10 and we also switched him to small forward after what we saw at the Sophomore ID Camp.&nbsp; He has tremendous size and athleticism at 6'7”.&nbsp; Wins off the dribble with a quick first step and explodes to the rim.&nbsp; Plays above the rim and brings versatility on the defensive end.&nbsp; Good rebounder.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2540198' first='Terrence' last='Davis'] (Libertyville)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Davis saw a big role as a freshman and will be part of their 1-2 punch as a sophomore.&nbsp; Can play effectively both on and off the ball.&nbsp; Finishes well around the rim, shoots it well off the catch from three, and is a plus perimeter defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
