Sophomore ID Camp (WI): Versatile Prospects

Another Sophomore ID Camp is in the books, and this one did not disappoint. A packed gym saw young prospects battling to boost their stock and make a name for themselves. Here are some of the versatile standouts who left their mark!    Romo Jr. impressed with his high motor, strong feel for timing, and ability to impact both ends of the floor. He excelled as a roller, finishing plays with good awareness and positioning while also protecting the rim with timely blocks and rebounds. His ability to push the ball in transition stood out, showcasing a surprising handle and knack for attacking gaps to create scoring opportunities for himself and others.     Saper was one of the more steady contributors, particularly on the glass and in the mid-post. He rebounded at a high rate with length and effort, often extending plays on the offensive end. His patience, use of pivots, and soft touch off the glass created efficient scoring opportunities. Defensively, he displayed attentiveness as a help defender along with solid foot speed to close out and contain perimeter players.     Turner brought versatile energy to Team 4, thriving as a tough downhill driver. His ability to slither through defenders and carve angles to the rim with either hand made him difficult to contain. Quick footwork and body control allowed him to consistently get lower than defenders, opening lanes to finish. Turner's versatility and activity made him a key contributor throughout camp.     Schwalbach was among the most athletic players in camp, combining quick instincts with defensive versatility. His anticipation in the passing lanes and timing as a shot-blocker created turnovers and easy transition chances. With his athleticism, defensive motor, and understanding of the game, Schwalbach projects as a high-upside two-way prospect.     Luchetti played with relentless energy, fueling his team with speed, toughness, and constant pressure. On defense, he thrived in the full-court press, using active hands and non-stop activity to disrupt opposing ball handlers. Offensively, he attacked the basket fearlessly, finishing through contact and converting tough “and-1” opportunities, often above the rim.       Navis had an impressive showing, asserting himself as a leader on both ends of the floor. A dominant rim protector and transition force, he blended length and athleticism with skill. Offensively, he showcased three-level scoring ability, using creativity and poise with the ball in his hands while cutting and sealing effectively off the ball. His ability to rise over defenders and score with efficiency highlighted his versatile offensive package. Navis established himself as one of the top overall prospects in his class.     Ndiaye's length and activity gave his team a reliable presence on both ends of the floor. He provided rim protection with strong verticality and awareness as a help defender. On the boards, his commitment and grit allowed him to extend possessions offensively and close them defensively. His ability to stretch the floor and contribute in multiple areas highlighted his versatility, making him one of the more balanced standouts at camp.
