Sophomore ID Camp: Team 4 Players who made their mark

We hosted the Sophomore ID Camp at Gold Crown on September 7th, bringing together over 140 players from across the state to compete and showcase their abilities. The energy in the gym was high, with plenty of talent on display and several prospects making their mark. Here's a look at the sophomores from Team 4 who stood out during the event.    Cordova was a player who made his presence felt at the showcase as he dominated at 3 on 3 and kept it going when it got to 5's as well. He attacked isolation opportunities with elite ball-handling using quick bursts to get downhill and finish at the rim. On defense, he picked up full court, forcing turnovers and converting them into easy buckets. His willingness to compete on both ends makes him a guard worth following. Solid outing.     Duncan's athleticism was on display at the event. His explosive first step got him by defenders with ease, and he used his body well to finish creatively around the rim. He got out in transition and used that athleticism to get some tough finishes. What stood out was how he played in 5s as he showed he can be a weapon in both the open floor and half-court sets. He's a quick guard who knows how to get to his spot.     Long's defensive IQ was on full display throughout the event as he made it a point to make a stand. He was one of the few players talking on that end of the floor and rotated cleanly in help-side to force tough shots or the extra pass, defended without fouling. Offensively, he embraced a role as he was cutting, moving, and making the right read. He also has a smooth shooting stroke, knocked down multiple 3 pointers, and gets to his sweet spots. Long showed he's a team-first player whose defensive commitment elevates his impact beyond the box score and is a player that I know has a deep offensive bag.     Collier came back from injury and looked sharp. He played with pace, blowing by defenders and scoring in bunches. His quick decision-making kept defenses guessing as he knocked down jumpers with confidence and attacked the rim. Collier's ability to change gears and stretch defenses stood out, but he was also one of the quickest players with the ball in his hands and could not be contained in the open court, making him one of the day's pleasant surprises. Solid outing from Collier.
