Freshman Showcase: Team 3 Breakdown

We hosted the Freshman Camp at Gold Crown on September 7th, bringing together over 140 players from across the state to compete and showcase their abilities. The energy in the gym was high, with plenty of talent on display and several prospects making their mark. Here's a look at the Freshman from Team 3 who stood out during the event.    [player_tooltip player_id='2909479' first='Levi' last='James'] thrived in transition at the showcase, using his speed and energy to get out and run the floor. That led to easy scoring opportunities for him and got his team baskets. He consistently put himself in the right spots, finished plays at the rim, and created baskets by moving without the ball. His hustle, ability to push the pace, and timely finishes made him a standout on the day and a player to watch.     [player_tooltip player_id='2899027' first='Oliver' last='Ramig'] was an off-ball guard who came alive when the ball found him. We want to see more of that aggressive play as he made plays happen all day once he got the ball in his hands. He showed playmaking instincts, making things happen with sharp reads and his court awareness was on display. Ramig looked comfortable creating for others, but in this showcase setting, more aggressiveness elevates your impact. Excited to follow his progression.     [player_tooltip player_id='2958153' first='Declan' last='Smith'] is a six-foot guard who brought versatility and the willingness to do the little things. He moved smartly without the ball, cutting into gaps at the right moments ,and his teammates found him on those cuts. Smith showed strong instincts as a player who plays well off the ball and is constantly moving. He has scoring ability and creation upside, and we want to see him hunt for more scoring opportunities.     [player_tooltip player_id='2959795' first='Miles' last='Kinsella']'s calling card was defense. He worked hard on every possession, moved without the ball, and constantly disrupted passing lanes. What stood out was his ability to defend without fouling. His ability to lock in on his assignment and force turnovers stood out. Kinsella used his body well, applying pressure and playing with toughness. His defensive intensity made him a difference-maker for his team, and that also led to his baskets offensively, but teams need specialists and defense is not always shown at showcases.     [player_tooltip player_id='2825488' first='Charlie' last='Jaramillo'] brought value with his effort and activity. He set strong screens, rolled hard, and made himself available inside. He grabbed rebounds and converted mid-range jumpers when left open, but he has a high IQ without the ball, which is not always shown by players at a showcase. Jaramillo's motor on both ends was noticeable, and he didn't need plays called for him to stay involved and be productive. His impact came through energy, positioning, and consistent hustle, and those are things that will keep you on the floor. Solid outing for Charlie.     Maddax Asp impressed with his sharp decision-making and willingness to play the right way. He read the court well, consistently finding open teammates and keeping the offense flowing. As a set shooter, he knocked down shots while also showing ability to score by slashing at times. Defensively, Asp made some plays, and he made some steals. His aggressive mindset and all-around play made him one of the more impactful two-way players on the floor throughout the day.     [player_tooltip player_id='2833224' first='Jaxson' last='Teff'] used his size to control the paint. He rebounded well and immediately went back up for second-chance points. He kept plays alive by battling inside, finishing with touch on the left, and gave defenses fits. Teff played high, switching onto guards, protected the rim down low, and gave his team reliable interior presence. His activity made him an important inside anchor.
