With a reputation built over the past year-plus as one of the top incoming freshman guards in the area, Sosa showed his ready to live up to the early hype, coming off the bench and making a crucial impact in a Sallies win. A smooth, confident, and well-rounded playmaker, Sosa displayed a silky handle to glide to his spots off the bounce with impressive craft and dexterity to finish at the rim among the trees. He boasts deep range and an effortless quick release on his jump shot, whether pulling up or firing off the catch. We'll learn more about the intricacies of his floor game in years to come, but the upside is evident as Sosa's body and athleticism eventually start to catch up to his skill level.

Audenried got the day started with a hard-fought win over a pesky CR South (PA) team, thanks in no small part to the offensive exploits of Clarke in the backcourt. A slender and aggressive perimeter scorer, he looks to have sprouted a bit since making a splash last year as a freshman. Splitting time on and off the ball, he was most effective shaking free beyond the arc to display his smoothly confident 3pt stroke. As he continues filling out his frame and rounding out his skillset off the bounce, Clarke could certainly emerge as a scholarship-level prospect down the line as he continues to build a resumé of production.

While it came in losing fashion, the well-rounded performance that Rush put together against Sankofa Freedom (PA) did plenty to show that he has a chance to emerge as one of the more effective sophomores in District 1 this winter. Stepping into a prominent role after contributing as a freshman a year ago, Rush showed a versatile skillset and cerebral approach along the perimeter. Sliding all across the positional spectrum, he made skilled and high-IQ plays off the dribble while also showing natural touch as a finisher in the midrange and catch-and-shoot threat out to the arc. Where he shakes out positionally on the defensive end will go a long way towards determining his ultimate level, but Rush has the type of game that should have him college-ready when the time comes in a few years.

Coming over to the PCL after making a splash as a freshman in the Public League at Abraham Lincoln, Ortiz-Muhammad looks ready to make an impact right away if his contributions on Sunday were any indication. Unsuspecting from a physical and athletic standpoint, the emerging guard impressed with his pace, skill, and feel operating off the dribble. Ortiz-Muhammad was among the best passers we saw all day, repeatedly threading the needle on the move to create easy shots for his teammates. He flashed proclivity creating space his own shot in the midrange as well as spacing out as a reliable off-ball catch-and-shoot threat. The heady playmaker could be a key piece to the Burrs' playoff chances by season's end as he continues to acclimate to his new surroundings.

Holy Ghost took a narrow loss to Salesianum (DE) and while Condon struggled to make a splash in the scoring column, the emerging forward still showed the impressive versatility that should have him among the more well-rounded contributors in District 1 for years to come. With a rangy frame and deceptive athleticism, he contributed up and down the lineup on both ends, particularly working into soft spots for easy scoring opportunities. The flashes of creating his own shot off the bounce and finishing with pop above the rim suggest potential long-term upside as well with Condon stepping into a marquee role as just a sophomore.
