Expert Analysis
Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
A second-year contributor for Holy Ghost, Condon has emerged into a full-time starter while standing out with his versatility on both ends of the floor for a team looking to make a run in 5A. Condon has a rangy frame with a well-rounded offensive skillset and keen instincts for contributing on the margins in a complimentary role. He’s a consistent threat as a finisher whether running ahead in transition or sneaking to the rim as a cutter in the halfcourt. He also shows flashes as a playmaker for others and is a respectable shooter out to the perimeter. Still a bit of a tweener at this stage, his ultimate level will be determined in large part by how his body and athleticism develop, but Condon should be a force in District 1 moving forward and is a safe bet to draw heavy high-academic recruiting attention with his utilitarian skillset.

Holy Ghost took a narrow loss to Salesianum (DE) and while Condon struggled to make a splash in the scoring column, the emerging forward still showed the impressive versatility that should have him among the more well-rounded contributors in District 1 for years to come. With a rangy frame and deceptive athleticism, he contributed up and down the lineup on both ends, particularly working into soft spots for easy scoring opportunities. The flashes of creating his own shot off the bounce and finishing with pop above the rim suggest potential long-term upside as well with Condon stepping into a marquee role as just a sophomore.

Condon impressed inside scoring around the bucket often for his Team Iverson squad. He uses his size to his advantage over smaller sized players at the 15u level. He spent a fair amount of time at the charity stripe and converted often from there. Condon capitalized on second chance efforts and muscled his way around on the interior to keep offensive chances alive. He showed flashes from behind the arc by stretching opposing defenses with his shooting. Defensively he regularly came up with steals and blocks. Hoping against hope that he isn’t done growing if so his ceiling should be a lot higher then it will be if he is physically tapped out.

During HGP’s run to the District 1-5A championship this 2028 prospect has provided a tremendous boost. Condon is s averaging 11.7 points per night and posted a double double of 15 points and 11 boards in the Firebirds semifinal win over Pottsgrove. As a freshman, Condon has carved out a role for himself as a crafty “glue guy.” Condon’s jump shot is dependable from all over the floor. However, he does the bulk of his scoring in transition as well as on cuts to the baskets for lay-ins and via the offensive glass. His long wingspan and solid instincts make Condon a plus defensive player.

Condon first caught my eye in mid-February when he flashed in HGP’s win over Radnor. Now in District play, this wiry and skilled hybrid guard-forward has been on a roll. In fact, during HGP’s march to the District 1-5A championship Condon is posting 11.7 points per night. In the Firebirds semifinal win over Pottsgrove Condon notched a double double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Condon is a crafty and efficient scorer who excels in his role for HGP as a 3rd / 4th option. He owns a reliable jump shot with range beyond the arc. Condon also does an excellent job of crashing the offensive glass for second chance points.
