Grayson transferred to Madison Central from Knox County Central this summer and there's a good chance that it's the best thing possible for his development. This will be the first time in a while that Burton will not have to carry a huge offensive burden. It's also the first time he will play for a team that doesn't need him to score 20+ in a game to be competitive. With Coach Feldhaus, Grayson should be developed over the next 3 years and be comfortable playing the second fiddle behind Senior [player_tooltip player_id='2726831' first='Jake' last='Feldhaus'].

Mahorn tore his ACL in June and is currently out. What better time than now to buy stock? It's rumored that Khi could make his Montgomery County debut in January or February. If that's the case, his timeline is similar to when Cayden Reed got eligible for MoCo last season and led them on a run to Rupp. Mahorn's ceiling is higher than Reed's. If he comes back and is well, look for Khi to be a big boost in the winter.

Noah missed out on the entire AAU season as well as summer basketball with Anderson. Great timing to invest in some stock of one of the best Sophomores in the 8th region. Overlooked because he played out of position last season and on a Senior heavy roster, Beasley should be in position to play more with the ball in his hands this season. If he gets the green light to take more threes this year, Noah could be a breakout candidate this year.

Coming from Collins over to Scott County this summer, McNear is a player who should be looked at like a long term investment. While his frame is frail, Bray should only add bulk and size as he gets in the weight room and likely slows down his overall growth. Coach Sean Woods is going to place a premium on the defensive end and that should make a world of difference for Bray, whose offensive game is better than his defense right now. Keep tabs on McNear. He could be a much better player 12 months from now. And have a stronger frame to help him finish around the rim.

Nichols is a kid that I have had my eye on for a couple of seasons now but he didn't play much as a Freshman at Madisonville last season. Heading into his Sophomore campaign at St. Mary, Ja'Cobi could be a breakout player if my hunch is correct. Nichols checks a ton of boxes as a prospect but he needs to turn his potential intro production as a Sophomore. I am betting that he will do just that. Give me all the [player_tooltip player_id='2429595' first='Ja'Cobi' last='Nichols'] stock!
