<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The latest 2027 prospect rankings have been released by our PHI staff!&nbsp; Here we examine the best of the best at the point guard position!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] (Warren)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Davis is the clear top prospect in the 2027 class regardless of position.&nbsp; The Warren senior is the ultimate point guard, leader, and winner!&nbsp; He is electric with the ball in his hands.&nbsp; Makes sound decisions as a passer getting his teammates in positions to score.&nbsp; He is a high level shot maker from mid-range and three while also being able to get in the lane for crafty layups.&nbsp; High-major all the way!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125687' first='Travis' last='Brown'] (West Aurora)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is a silky smooth lead guard that has played at a very consistent level for the last two seasons.&nbsp; When he plays with high level talent he elevates their play with his passing and feel as a passer.&nbsp; When he needs to get in his bag as a scorer he can absolutely do that with one of the best layup packages in the class along with a plus shot pulling up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2712818' first='Deven' last='Marshall'] (Rock Island)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Marshall is an athletic two way lead guard that has continued to grow each time we have seen him.&nbsp; Love what he brings in transition as he gets to the rim with his speed while also being a sound perimeter shot maker.&nbsp; Defensive potential is there as well with his activity level on that end.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2406554' first='KJ' last='Miller'] (Plainfield East)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Miller made a major move in the rankings with what we saw out of him in June.&nbsp; The 6'6” lead guard has tremendous size and projectability.&nbsp; Lanky frame and is ultra smooth with the rock in his hands getting to the rim finishing with either hand.&nbsp; Potential as a shooter and has nice instincts as a passer off live dribbles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125677' first='Reggie' last='Stevens'] (St. Laurence)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stevens is a plus shot maker from three at the point guard position.&nbsp; He is a microwave scorer that can get hot from distance.&nbsp; Good frame and strength at the guard spot and should move into a go to scoring role for his team this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
