Our 2026 rankings update didn't see a ton of shifting from our last update but some players made moves up our list after strong summer performances, in this article I'll break down my five highest ranked stock risers from the rankings update.

Horton has been one of the most skilled bigs in the state since his freshman season, with the ability to score over either shoulder at a young age. For Horton, his biggest leap over the past two years has been his coordination and ability to play through contact. Horton has spent less time on the floor and more time dominating in the paint, which has made him arguably the best big in the OHSAA. Horton looks like he could be a steal for Miami (OH) based on his current trajectory, great job by their staff to keep securing top talent.

Another player who just keeps getting better, Martin has turned his potential into production this summer on the UAA circuit for Nova Village. Martin has developed his body and has kept growing even throughout the summer. When Martin catches fire from downtown it can feel hopeless guarding him as not many players can move like Martin does at his height and knock down 3-pointers. It'll be interesting to see where Martin ends up with a handful of Division I offers on the table.

Plantz had an excellent summer for the [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] as he was one of the top rim protectors in the EYCL. During the month of June, I also got to see some offensive expansion of Plantz game, looking like a primary hub of the offense for Genoa. Already committed to Ashland, Plantz has the frame and skillset to play immediately at the college level.

Barnett was another prospect who increased his stock at midwest live thanks to his elite 3-point shooting ability. With his athleticism and ability to make shots, he'll have college programs looking to make him a plug and play guard at the scholarship level. His two older brothers ended up at Presbyterian and Walsh out of high school and I'd expect Sean to end up at a similar level program when he makes his decision. Brunswick will be looking to make a deep run with arguably the best backcourt in Ohio.

Jackson was named to Synergy's 'most efficient scorers' list from the New Balance circuit this season. The lefty guard has a lightning quick first step and has the combination of being able to blow by his defender off the dribble and make contested shots on the perimeter. When you combine those two skills its no surprise why he was so successful as a scorer this summer. Expect Jackson to put up crazy numbers as a senior for Alliance despite likely seeing double teams almost every game.
