Expert Analysis

Jackson was named to Synergy’s ‘most efficient scorers’ list from the New Balance circuit this season. The lefty guard has a lightning quick first step and has the combination of being able to blow by his defender off the dribble and make contested shots on the perimeter. When you combine those two skills its no surprise why he was so successful as a scorer this summer. Expect Jackson to put up crazy numbers as a senior for Alliance despite likely seeing double teams almost every game.

One of the more athletic lead guards in northeast Ohio, Jackson plays with a pep in his step on the ball. The lefty had a big scoring season for Alliance as a Junior and has continued to impress for OBC on the P32 circuit. Another name who I expect to see scholarship interest come quickly for him, Jackson has impressed at events like the Bill Hensley Run N Slam with numerous Division II and NAIA coaches in attendance.

Jackson is a nice long athlete who allows for a nice scoring punch for OBC 17U with a floor operator of Drexler at point guard. His a really nice slasher because he gets low and balances on drives. He has a quick first step that blows by defenders. He can score around the rim well and knows how to do it with bigger defenders contesting him. He is really good at ripping the ball low and getting to where he needs to go. Also has a nice ability to keep his dribble if the shot isn’t available for him.

I caught Jackson with OBC back in the spring and he’s got a lot of ability off the dribble to create for himself. The lefty can change directions and speeds in a flash and Jackson is able to get to spots on the court and create space. Also a solid pull-up shooter, Jackson made some tough shots in the game I caught. Hoping to catch Jackson again either this winter or early in the spring because he’s got a lot of talent and I’ve only gotten a couple of scouts of his game.
