The difference for Summit Country Day in their playoff run, getting Martin back healthy has given Summit Country Day another long athlete, defender, rebounder and shooter. The future Rhode Island Ram found his most success as a rebounder and cutter today, getting a couple putback layups and a few runout dunks to get the Summit Country Day crowd off their feet. Maybe the highlight of the game came after Waynesville cut the lead to just four points in the third quarter, Summit Country Day went on a 8-0 run where Waynesville barely crossed half court and it was ended with a give and go dunk for Martin in transition.
After dealing with a back injury that held him out for most of the season, Martin is back and looking healthy for a Summit Country Day squad that should compete for another regional title. At the high school level, Martin’s size, length and shooting ability gives him such an easy role. After a big first half, Martin struggled with foul trouble in the second half but showed the flashes that made him a mid-major priority in the summer.
Another player who just keeps getting better, Martin has turned his potential into production this summer on the UAA circuit for Nova Village. Martin has developed his body and has kept growing even throughout the summer. When Martin catches fire from downtown it can feel hopeless guarding him as not many players can move like Martin does at his height and knock down 3-pointers. It’ll be interesting to see where Martin ends up with a handful of Division I offers on the table.
Martin impacted the game in different ways. He used his length to come down with rebounds. He is a switchable defender who uses his blend of size quickness and size to cover ground an an abrupt pace. Martin scored is different ways around the bucket, behind the arc, and at the charity stripe. Martin continues get better with time and intrigue with upside, He should be a priority for low major plus programs.
Martin is coming out of this weekend with multiple added offers, and you knew it was only going to be a matter of time. He is a perfect modern-day player as he is listed at 6’7, has great length, and moves extremely well. He is a fluid athlete and shows this on the defensive end. He can guard all five positions and will lock them down. He will be a player that is a quick impact because he knows how to play and impact. He is good at finishing around the rim.
Martin has shown his long-term potential in flashes for about a year now with his confidence and perimeter shot-making ability taking massive steps forwards. Those flashes are becoming more and more common for the 6’7 wing who could blow up during the month of June after I saw him dominating at the Xavier team camp with Summit Country Day. Currently holding one Division I offer from Brown, I would imagine Martin adds to that total if he displays perimeter shooting, toughness and defense during the live periods in June.
A perfect addition to Nova Village’s 17 U group that’s now on the UAA circuit, Martin has the prototypical size for a wing athlete and the elite perimeter shooting ability that makes him a perfect fit in a variety of offensive systems. A player who keeps trending upward, Martin gets better every time I watch him play after a few months. I expect Martin to get a bunch of Division I interest this summer as a spring live period in Hamilton, Ohio for the UAA circuit is the next opportunity for Division I schools to see Martin live on a team with multiple Division I targets.

NOVA Village
used The Stage as a tune-up event before heading to the UAA Circuit for Session I this coming weekend. Martin proved to be one of the best college prospects in the gym with a couple of outstanding shooting performances. The 6’7″ wing knocked in four three-point shots in their first game of the weekend and backed it up with 18 points in a win over Hopson Elite
. His combination of size, athleticism, and skill will attract the attention of college coaches all spring and summer long.
Another dominant effort by Nova Village 17 U who have been locked in defensively, Martin had another strong performance and is fitting in well with a new group. His shooting ability for his size is very unique and adds an extra dimension to Nova’s team. On Saturday, Martin did a nice job of stretching the floor and making jumpers but he also had an and-1 floater and threw down a slam dunk off a ghost cut. Expect college programs to flock to Nova’s 17 U games during live periods to check out guys like Martin on the UAA circuit.
A high academic prospect who is starting to blossom on the court, Martin is one of the more under the radar names out of southwest Ohio in the class of 2026. I’ve always liked the shot-making and physical profile of Martin and he’s starting to be a more consistent producer and playing tougher on the court. With his size, shooting and academic ability, I expect high academic D1 and D2 schools to make Martin a priority in the spring. For now, Martin will look to help lead Summit Country Day to a state title in a wide open Region 20.
