Summit Country Day got an impressive win over Pickerington Central in what was probably the most competitive game of the day. Stocks is a guard who wants to get downhill and use his strong legs in the paint to score through players at the rim. A strong left-hand driver, when Stocks can turn the corner, he is incredibly tough to stop and he hit a clutch 3-pointer late in the game off a fake pass to get the defense off of him. I expect Summit Country Day to be balanced scoring from their top three guys and Stocks will need to have a big season for Summit Country Day to contend for a state title.

Stocks had a big performance at the Xavier Team Camp and has been impactful using his athleticism to attack closeouts and get to the paint. When Stocks can get downhill off the dribble. I expect Summit County Day to draw a lot of eyeballs at both the Lexington and Sandusky live period events in June and Stocks will have the opportunity to showcase his athleticism, defensive ability and slashing skills.

The final game of the event I caught was a thriller as Stocks knocked down a mid-range shot in sudden death overtime to secure the victory over Louisville Ballard. One of the quicker on ball guards in southwest Ohio, Stocks does a nice job defending the ball and is tough to stay in front of off the dribble. When Stocks is able to get around his initial defender and play off two feet, he’s tough to stop going downhill. Showing more consistent production in the two games I caught, Stocks will be a name to watch for a Summit Country Day squad that has even bigger expectations this season after a regional championship in 2025.

Summit County Day has one of the most talented teams in Division V and Stocks had his breakout game against rival CHCA where he scored a season-high 18 points on 7/9 shooting from the floor. With his athleticism, Stocks can apply pressure on the ball and average about one steal a game. A name to know in Cincinnati’s 2026 class.

Summit Country Day has had a strong start to their season and Stocks has hit the ground running with some efficient performances to open up his Junior season. A dynamic guard who has excellent quickness and change of pace, Stocks can throw off the defense with his unique rhythm off the dribble. Also flashing the ability to make shots from the perimeter, Stocks hit a 3-pointer in each of his first three games this season. Lots of upside with Stocks who is a name we’ll be closely monitoring this summer.

The first game of the season for Stocks, he started a little slow with a couple travels but once he shook the rust off, he was arguably the most impactful guy on the court. A guard with an elite first step, Stocks can get by his initial defender in a flash. Also a capable shooter from the outside, Stocks made a couple time and space 3-pointers, including one in the second half that helped really start to put some separation between the sides. Look for Stocks to make his debut in our 2026 rankings during our next update.

One of the more talented small schools in southwest Ohio, Summit Country Day has a nice blend of experience and youth. After being the second leading scorer as just a Sophomore, Stocks is looking to continue to play a featured role. The lefty can knock down shots from the perimeter, looks the part physically and competed on both ends. After scoring in double-figures in just three of his first 12 games last season, Stocks ended the year hitting that mark in six of his final eight games. It appears he’s continued that momentum in June with a more experienced and deeper roster.
