SWBC 2027 PG Standouts

There was a lot of talent in the gym and</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were 8 2027 PG Standouts</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2133646' first='Myles' last='Godfrey'] Cactus Shadows (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A pure point guard who is super shifty. He is an elite passer spraying the ball all over the court. He has quick hands on defense to pester his opponents and will score. He has a tough hesitation move he uses to get into the paint and will score with runners or layups. He will also hit the three or from mid-range.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2146175' first='LJ' last='Diamond'] Perry</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The overall co-MVP of the camp had some monster games in the two days. He scores with breakneck speed on the break and he puts immense pressure on the defense to try and keep him out of the lane. He will hit the three with range and had some video game like dunks on the break. He is a very good passer and a tenacious on-ball defender.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1873684' first='Tyson' last='Crandall'] Highland&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A highly skilled scoring point guard who grew a little. He can go on his own personal runs with threes off the catch or pull, quick drives to the basket, polished floaters and plays with big time confidence to produce in every game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1950104' first='Jonathan' last='Mercado'] Chandler</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring point guard who was one of the top scorers at the camp. He can make every shot with mid-range pull-ups, threes with range, the lefty can get downhill with his strong frame and he is very hard to stop in transition. He talks on defense and he is a competitor. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1986796' first='Peyton' last='Lubash'] San Tan Charter&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring point guard with a high feel for the game. He will score with step backs from mid-range, which is one of his pet moves, threes from the volleyball line and quick bursts after he freezes the defender. His passing skills were also on display with great timing to his teammates.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2386958' first='Isaiah' last='Gill'] Mountain View Marana</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A super shifty real point guard with incredible open court speed. He has an electric first step to get to the basket and will grab a ball off the glass and take it coast to coast. He can hit the three off the catch and his bounce is coming in playing above the rim. He is also quick on the ball defensively with his quicker twitch and speed.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2146238' first='Victor' last='Vu'] Apollo</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A sharp shooting scoring point guard who can make players around him better. He will whip passes up the court perfectly in stride. He can rattle in threes off the catch with a quicker release and he does not need much space and/or time to get it off. He should have a breakout season in the West Valley.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2534893' first='Blake' last='Lunt'] ALA West Foothills&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring point guard who plays hard. He is an impressive rebound chaser for his size and plays a very unselfish game. He will score with perimeter jumpers off the catch, pull-ups from mid-range and has a quicker first step to get to the basket.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
