On Saturday April 12th I attended the Nothing but Net Spring Showcase at Sunnyslope HS hosted by Dinos Trigonis. It was a unique event with club and prep teams playing each other making it a rare live period for college coaches to come view the talent.

I spent all day watching the teams on the main court plus one half in the auxiliary gym. These are not prospect rankings. Just how did they do for the 1-2 games I viewed them.

4th Team

[player_tooltip player_id='3027281' first='Rafa' last='Corta'] BVP CIA Supreme

A taller power forward is your classic highly skilled finesse player. The lefty will is a face-up type with a pretty touch. He shoots it effortlessly from the three point line with a pure release. He can also dunk it easily and will occasionally take it off the glass and dribble it coast to coast. He also outlets the ball well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2855988' first='Jose' last='Dias'] Bella Vista CIA Supreme

One of the tallest players in the class and in the entire state. He is a big time shot blocker who will alter or block shots in bunches. He runs the floor, moves fluidly from end to end and will cover in space. He dunks it easily and will shoot it from mid and in.

[player_tooltip player_id='2292816' first='Luke' last='Galvanoni'] Mesquite (Belmont Shore 17) (Pictured)

A versatile wing forward is that Swiss Army Knife who can play and defend multiple positions. He will hit the three off the catch and smartly plays off of two-feet and will find a teammate in stride. He is a very good rebounder and a natural connector at nearly six-foot six.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591734' first='TJ' last='Harris'] Liberty ([program_tooltip program_id='2076421' first='Factory' last='AZ'] 17 P32)

A quick on quick scoring point guard who has advanced court vision, a tighter handle and real speed with the ball to get to his spots. He will score with mid-range pull-ups, threes off the catch, speed dribble drives, ball fakes and he is very patient and crafty to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='2109028' first='Malachi' last='Kaffey'] AZ Compass Prep Grind

A scoring point guard with a big feel for the game. He will make passes up the court and has the handle and speed to get to his spots. He scores it easily with deep threes with real range off the catch or pull and will take it to the basket with a sneaky burst.

[player_tooltip player_id='2970234' first='Brad' last='Pitt'] Bella Vista CIA Supreme

A potential top-10 2030 in AZ is a bigger combo guard who handles it well, makes plays and scores. He is a freak athlete who had some rim rattling dunks and a very good on-ball defender with his size and strength. He is also a top notch rebounder and will score it with threes off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='3574541' first='Deng' last='Majur'] Bella Vista Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 16)

A long face-up power forward is a southpaw who can stretch the floor with threes off the catch with an easy stroke and quicker trigger. He is one of those who looks better on every viewing. He rebounds well, runs the floor, will block shots and score it in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='3226220' first='Linus' last='Turner'] Sunnyslope (Compton Magic 15)

A defensive minded combo guard with a smooth gait. He is quick to get downhill and will hesitate to the basket. He can hit the three off the pull or catch and scores on put backs. His length stands out and will collect steals, rebound and even block shots on the norm.

[player_tooltip player_id='2625965' first='Kaii' last='Voogd'] AZ Compass Prep Grind

A bigger guard/wing type who has some vertical pop, skill and a nice frame. He has a pretty looking shooting stroke from the three point line and will pour in triples ones by one. He can get a step on his defender and get to the basket to score or get to the free throw line.
