SD 2029s To Put on Your Radar

I haven't seen a ton of guys in this class yet, but what I have seen is a bunch of crazy gifted kids that are more than ready to make a splash in SD! I'm going a little off script here with this group. If you have been following my posts, I have been doing a series of "Guys Flying Under the Radar" in each graduating year of SD Class B basketball. The truth is with this group, it's a little different as most of these guys haven't been playing at the varsity level, or are just starting to grow in to their shoes if you will, so the pool of players I have watched is smaller. That will change fast, but for now this group will be all classes (A, B, AA) from SD. Let it be known that the ones I have seen surely don't disappoint and certainly will be on a lot more short lists than just mine in the coming months.    I love watching this guy play ball. His court vision and IQ are well ahead of his age. He's got iso handles and can go either way to the rim with speed. He matches that speed with a sweet shot from 3. Taschner will be a tough cover for any opposing team and surely fun to watch in the coming years.     A tough matchup at a 6'0 guard that can handle it. He's a pure athlete and already playing well above the rim. Loyall is a leader on the floor and plays with a great attitude. I really like his ability to get to the rim and absorb contact, yet still finish.     I was really impressed with Aaron's play in a recent tournament in Sioux Falls. He's very quick and really controls the basketball well on the bounce. He was making reads and passes you'd expect to see seniors making with ease. He already understands that paint touches matter from the point guard position, as most of the time he touched the ball he got the middle. Bruns' best game might be his defense. He's lock down on the ball.     Charlie has a ton of poise for his age. He wants the ball and knows what to do with it. I watched Charlie set up his man and take a step 3 with under a minute remaining to tie a game in Sioux Falls this past summer. Just ice in his veins and great game awareness.     Scrappy, hard working dude that makes the right decisions on the floor. Hudson can get to the rim almost anytime he wants to. He's got the awareness to make the "one more pass", yet knows he can hit it from downtown if the defender is closing out late. He's a strong kid that will no doubt be fun to watch develop.     Anthony is well above his age in finding the open area on the floor. He cuts hard and runs the floor with a motor that just doesn't stop. His hustle and hard work put him above almost all his competition before we even talk about his game. His first step is very fast, and he attacks his defenders top foot and hip well. Most of his points come at the rim with a variety of finishes, yet he can get hot from deep. Another great on ball defender.     Long, athletic, and very smooth with the ball. I really like his body control and footwork off the bounce and into a finish. He hit a big 3 late in game from the corner in a game I watched. Deng is most impressive at his ability to get to the rim and finish.
