Thompson played two seasons at Lebanon high school before making the move to Western Reserve Academy. There Thompson has had the opportunity to play alongside a handful of scholarship prospects and continue to develop physically and as an all around player. Thompson has played all three summers with Indiana Elite, winning numerous tournaments and competing for the 3SSB championship all three seasons. Thompson is currently being recruited by some of the biggest programs in the country and ranked as a five star prospect.

Another 3SSB standout who left his public school for a prep powerhouse, Smith has become one of the top stretch forwards across the country playing for Midwest Basketball Club. After three seasons at Upper Arlington, Smith is now playing for Prolific Prep as a senior on one of the most loaded teams in the country. Smith will also return home next season as he's been committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. I could see Smith rising in the national rankings at Prolific Prep this season, it's surprising to myself he isn't higher after an impressive summer on the 3SSB circuit and the fact he's been committed to a strong Big 10 program.

Crumble went 3/3 on state championships in the OHSAA, winning two with Lutheran East and one with Richmond Heights. Crumble was one of the most dominant high school players in Ohio with the size, strength and interior scoring ability to overpower smaller prospects. Crumble is taking his talents to Long Island Lutheran, another one of the most stacked teams in the country. After a strong summer with WV Gold on the Puma Circuit playing alongside Eli Sancomb, Crumble will now get to play next to Dylan Mingo this winter.

Kendrick went viral as a freshman due to his ability to shoot jumpers with both hands in games. Regarded as one of the top guards in Ohio's 2026 class, Kendrick decided to leave for Caldwell Academy in North Carolina and reclassify into the 2027 class. Kendrick had a strong summer for CP3 at the 16 U level, the same age group he played for [program_tooltip program_id='2320052' first='All' last='Ohio Red'] the summer prior. Kendrick saw a spike in his recruitment this summer with Dayton, Mississippi State, Providence and more offering him.

The most dominant statistical player in the EYCL, Nate Miles was putting up insane numbers this summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2320052' first='All' last='Ohio Red']. One of the top prospects from the Toledo area, Miles has bounced around multiple summers playing for Toledo Start and Lima Senior in June throughout his career and also a brief stint at Huntington Prep but has officially left Toledo Emmanuel Christian for good with a transfer for Tennessee Collegiate Prep. With an open recruitment at the moment but tons of talent, expect Miles to be a prospect schools make an effort to see this winter.

The second former Northland athlete to appear on this list, Shoultz had some impressive seasons for the back-to-back Columbus City League Champs. Shoultz is now headed to one of the top high school programs in the country in DeMatha, who try and reload after losing numerous pieces to other prep programs themselves. Shoultz has always been a talented shot maker with athletic potential and could breakout as a senior.

The third former Northland player, Krylov only appeared for the Vikings in June after stops at both Reynoldsburg and New Albany. Now moving out west to PHH Prep, Krylov is at his 4th high school program in as many years. A versatile wing athlete, Krylov has a ton of two-way potential thanks to his frame and athletic tools. We'll see if Krylov gets some new momentum in terms of recruitment in a new situation.
