Derez was one of the more fundamentally sound guards at our event. He had multiple tough finishes in traffic among taller defenders. He is a guard that did not get sped up which is rare to see with guards his age. I thought he was very smooth in transition and did not force any shots, truly looked to get others involved first. Saint Xavier has yet another solid piece in their 2029 class.

Kenny is an extremely smooth guard. I was impressed with his floor vision and passing ability in the game that I watched. He had multiple no look dimes in transition. He also has the ability to take over games and get his own bucket at all 3 levels. Even though he is a smaller guard, he has insane bounce for his size. He had multiple finishes where he attempted to take the rim off. Butler will have a cornerstone as he continues to grow.

Wyatt was one of the best defenders that I seen during the showcase. During both 5 on 5 and 3 on 3 Wyatt guarded the other teams best player on multiple possessions and did not shy away from it getting multiple stops. Wyatt is extremely quick off the bounce, and had multiple tough/creative finishes around the rim. Wyatt has the ability to impact the floor on both ends for Floyd Central.

Luke was the biggest stock riser for me on the day. Luke lead his team in scoring off the bench in a high scoring game. He is a legit 3 level scorer. He got to the rim with ease, and was able to finish over anybody when he got there. He has an extremely tight handle and can change speed/direction on a dime. Defensively he had multiple steals from the gaps. Luke has a legit shot to make an impact for Collins as a freshman.

Coming into the event I had heard a lot about Gage coming off his AAU season. I was extremely impressed with how well/quick he moved for his size. He looked to make the right play every possession. Being a bigger guard, he was able to take advantage of multiple mismatches by getting to his spot. Coach Mays has another up and comer at MoCo.

At 6'8, Peter was the biggest player at our showcase and he let it be known. Peter is a legit post presence, and scored at will when he got the ball on the block. He crashes the offensive boards hard and could not be stopped when he did. I was impressed with how hard he ran the floor for his size, he had multiple transition dunks from it. He will be a name to watch for West Jessamine.
