Julius was everything for Green Run offensively at CBG's East Coast Live event. He was dominant on the floor as a scorer on every level. Julius showed he had no problem getting the the basket or pulling up over the contests. In games that he had the size advantage, Julius did a good job of exploiting it. Showed some underrated strength when finishing at the basket and got his fair share of foul shot attempts. Hymons' offensive skillset jumps right out at you, and that proved so during the early parts of the Live Period.

Dean got things done for Catholic as part of the busy guard tandem. He kept the pressure on all day at East Coast Live. One of the team's top scorers through the whole event, putting together baskets from all areas. Liked the way he got his points, making his mark in transition getting out fast. Dean skied through the lane and hauled down a lot of offensive rebounds, turning many of them into points. He was able to mix his defenders up and score with a smooth jumpshot. Shot it well from range and in closer when the defense was tight. Very impressive and complete performance from the rising junior.

Incoming junior PG [player_tooltip player_id='2889373' first='Jay' last='Green'] left a lasting impression following his time at DMV Live. Ran the show in the backcourt alongside Amonte and they were a problem for the opposition respectively. Jay was a menace on the defensive end both in the trap-press and in the halfcourt stopping the ball. Never let the opposition breathe while handling the ball, Jay clogged up passing lanes and iso-situations all Live Period. Green was just as effective offensively. Opened up avenues for his teammates to be effective while scoring in double digits all but one game. Found different ways to score rather then being limited to catching-and-shooting. Looks like he fits hand-in-glove with the current Springdale makeup.

Got a chance to catch Ripp with his new squad as Highland took part in the DMV Live sessions. He had a pretty effective jumpshot going for him during the weekends and hit consistently. Shoots well off movement and knows how to find spaces where he can spot up and rise. Ripp was present defensively, sending few shots back and deterring jumpers and layup attempts. Ran the floor well on the break and created opportunities for himself to finish breaks. Ripp rebounded the ball well each game, totaling six games with 8+ rebounds. Nice addition that will continue to get better for Highland.

Zion was a major factor for Roosevelt during DC Live and has been on a nice run during Summer League play as well. He has very good coordination as a forward so Zion can finish a lot of plays underneath. Perfect big that you want in the dunkers' spot, as he catches through traffic and puts up the layup quickly. Zion makes his opportunities count at the basket, follows up his misses with an offensive rebound. Gets out and runs on the fast break to create numbers for his team, and stays ready to catch and finish as a trailer. X-Factor type of player for Roosevelt, when he plays well the team usually follows suit.

Kyle had a very steady DMV Live performance, producing each and every game. More time and shots are starting to find Kyle as he is almost forced to step up into a main role for the team at guard. He had no problems getting what he wanted offensively, making a number of timely baskets for Good Counsel when they needed. Only had one game scoring under 10 points, truly leaving an impact with the freedom to go. Great rebounder for a guard, pulling in a consistent amount each game averaging over four a contest. Still kept his natural point guard instincts, shooting what came to him while keeping the ball and players moving. Kyle had a very impressive stint to begin his Live session portion of summer.

Khari was having his way when I got a chance to see him at CBG East Coast Live. There was nothing he couldn't do with the ball in his hands against New Hope Regional. Khari scored out on the break and muscled his way to the rim for and-1's. Dropped in a few catch-and-shoot 3's from around the perimeter. Khari created separation between himself and his defender with his speed and smooth handle, then rose into his pullup or made a play on the rim. Promising showing from Khari as this is only the surface of his max potential.
