June 20-22 I attended the annual Section-7 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa and I attended the Cali Live tournament June 27-29 in at the Open Gym Premier Sports Complex in Ladera Ranch.CA.

Both events were live periods where college coaches sometimes were standing room only watching certain teams and players.

Here were some of the 2029 Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2194474' first='Isaiah' last='Rider IV'] Higley

Rider IV already has a nice frame with plus size and length combined with a high feel to make plays. He is a great passer in tight spaces and scores getting downhill or will shoot the cover off the ball from the arc. He uses his length on defense and he is a gamer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2886380' first='Remy' last='Rose'] Carl Hayden

A good looking kid has a very quick first step to get downhill and impressive court vision with live dribble passes. He is quick and has plus size already for his class and speed. He gets to the basket with euros and will shoot the three. He will help their team immensely this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2894935' first='Kendell' last='Stapleton'] Notre Dame Prep

A very fast incoming freshmen point guard has an impressive first step to blow by his defenders. He is very quick on the ball defensively and plays with speed and poise. He also knows how to change speeds and pass it well making plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='2825980' first='Brexton' last='Quinet'] Notre Dame Prep

A cerebral point guard who can shoot the three. The son of a coach is smart and skilled. The lefty can get a step on his defender after he changes his speeds. His shooting from deep sets up the rest of his game and he plays smartly off of the p/r game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506524' first='Colin' last='Godfrey'] Cactus Shadows

A very fast and athletic pure point guard. He can burst to the basket with his next level speed and turn the corner on his defender and get to the rim. He plays tough defense on the ball and he is a great rebounder for his size and position. He will give the team some energy complimenting his brother and Ulrich.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194805' first='Marquice' last='Pless'] Higley (Pictured)

One of the more all-around incoming freshmen is a three level scorer. He will score it with fall aways from mid and hit the three. He can create his own offense to get himself to the free throw line and he is a good passer. He plays the passing lanes and he is top rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='2759176' first='Trevin' last='Davis'] Liberty

Another well rounded incoming freshmen with some size and a ton of skill. He has one of the prettier three point shooting strokes off the catch and will rip thru with left or right hand. He has a good feel for the game and he is a great rebounder in traffic.
