Sogaard started the morning very strong against a weaker and smaller opponent. Every rebound was his, and if it wasn't, he was in the mix. It was easy to run the offense partially through him, feeding it to him and allowing him to decide if he wanted to go up with it or kick it out to a shooter or cutter. His feel for where the defense was made it evident that he had strong awareness, knowing whether or not he had a mismatch or if there should be an open guy. Overall, though, Sogaard used his size and strength to dominate the smaller opponent.

Having a guy like Jonas Mccreary driving to the hoop and taking a lot of defensive attention, Winston took the brute end of the glass cleaning and put back opportunities, and he ran with it. In the second half of a close game, Winston had back to back and-one finishes. Neither of these finishes were ticky-tacky small fouls, either, both went straight through contact to convert the bucket. Winston also wasn't afraid to put the ball on the ground and drive from the perimeter.

In the first half of Weidners game that I watched, the first comparison that came to my mind was a Dr. Dish machine. Weidner got so many offensive rebounds that he kicked to open shooters that at one point the opposing coach said “That guy has 10 offensive rebounds this half alone.” When you are making someone else frustrated because of how dominant you are being on the glass, you are doing something right. That kind of strength and always getting to your spot is a force to be reckoned with.

A lot of these other guys on the list were physical dominant on the glass or inside the paint, but Kromah showed his physicality all game on offense. He had 16 points in the first half, and a lot of those included bodying his way throught the paint and taking on multiple defenders at a time. Kromah is also the only true guard on the list, which is likely what makes him so effective. Not a ton of other guards were willing to wall up and take him on defensively.

Austin and his Sanford squad played against a 2029 team on Saturday, so he was able to use his size and extra year of experience to his advantage. For the most part, it was a low scoring and somewhat sloppy game, but Austin was a breath of fresh air. He played a part in holding his opponents to a low shooting percentage at the rim, and was a brick wall when they tried to back him down or make a move on him. Late in the game, Austin used his size and crafty finishing to toss in some crucial, clutch buckets.
