showed flashes of being exactly what the Lions need this coming winter if he can put it all together.
In addition to being a 6-foot-4 athlete (which never hurts at the 2A level), Austin can shoot the rock and can take it to the hole. On one particular play, he caught the ball at the right elbow, turned a corner, went to the bucket and finished through contact. With potential as a defender, too, Austin could be the guy for CL sooner rather than later.

Austin and his Sanford squad played against a 2029 team on Saturday, so he was able to use his size and extra year of experience to his advantage. For the most part, it was a low scoring and somewhat sloppy game, but Austin was a breath of fresh air. He played a part in holding his opponents to a low shooting percentage at the rim, and was a brick wall when they tried to back him down or make a move on him. Late in the game, Austin used his size and crafty finishing to toss in some crucial, clutch buckets.
