One of the top performers I saw all day Akins was filling up the stat sheet to the tune of 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in a blowout victory. Akins is a strong guard who can play on or off the ball and his skillset was perfectly displayed today with a barrage of 3-pointers as well as a couple nice passes either to spot-up shooters or cutters. Akins is a lefty 3-point shooter but prefers to finish with his right hand at the rim and had a sweet reverse layup today. Couldn't ask for much more out of him, he impacted the game in a variety of ways and helped his team cruise to victory. Hoping to see more of the same as the weekend continues.

A prospect who is starting to scratch the surface of his potential, Strite went 4/6 from 3-point range and finished with 17 points on Wednesday evening. If you can space the floor at his size, there will be a spot for you somewhere on a competitive team. While he is limited in the paint due to his current frame, I believe Strite can add muscle and eventually become more of a factor at the rim at both ends of the court. A prospect who has always flashed potential, it was very encouraging to see him turn that into production on Wednesday.

One of the most talented 2028 prospects in Ohio, Smith had a big two-way impact on Wednesday in a tight victory. Smith had 9 points and 3 defensive stocks with two loud blocks and a steal that turned into a slam dunk on the fast break that got the crowd going crazy. Smith also had some impressive passing flashes with a sweet skip pass to the corner when he drove baseline really catching my eye. Smith will debut very high in our 2028 rankings when they are updated at the end of the month.

The leading scorer for his team today, Terry had 14 points on 5/6 from the floor. A skilled player with soft hands, a smooth 3-point shot and battling in the paint is an excellent combo for a guy with Terry's size. Hoping to see more plays like the one where Terry took a few dribbles and finished with his left hand extending past a shot blocker. Kentucky's 2028 class has been standing out in Rock Hill and Terry is one of the top names to know from that class.

Players don't have to score the basketball to make an impact and while Otite just scored 4 points on Wednesday, his defensive and rebounding impacts were felt massively with 7 rebounds and while he was only credited for 1 block, it felt like he altered at least 7 or 8 shots at the basket by staying vertical and contesting without fouling. Otite will Reclass into the class of 2027 which is why he is playing with Indiana Elite 16 U at the moment and his Reclass will be reflected in our next rankings update for the class of 2027 in early August.

It was nice to see Mack-Russell knock down a pair of 3-pointers on Wednesday to help him score 21 points in an impressive victory over Compton Magic. Mack-Russell is a powerful athlete who can score from the baseline off cuts and second chance opportunities. If Mack-Russell can consistently space the floor then he could add to his high major offer list this weekend.

A player who has continued to boost his stock this summer, Simpson is due for a big rankings boost during our next update thanks to performances like the one he had on Wednesday with 13 points and 3 assists. Simpson was confident with the ball in his hands with a sweet right to left crossover into a layup standing out as well as a play where Simpson hit the roll man in the pick and roll just to get the ball kicked out to him in the opposite corner for a spot-up 3-pointer. That two man action with DeMaceo Bronston was successful all game and will be a pair I look to keep seeing have success as action rolls on this week in Rock Hill.
