Akins is a strong guard who can play on or off the ball and his skillset was perfectly displayed today with a barrage of 3-pointers as well as a couple nice passes either to spot-up shooters or cutters. Akins is a lefty 3-point shooter but prefers to finish with his right hand at the rim and had a sweet reverse layup today. Couldn't ask for much more out of him, he impacted the game in a variety of ways and helped his team cruise to victory. If you can space the floor at his size, there will be a spot for you somewhere on a competitive team. While he is limited in the paint due to his current frame, I believe Strite can add muscle and eventually become more of a factor at the rim at both ends of the court. Smith had 9 points and 3 defensive stocks with two loud blocks and a steal that turned into a slam dunk on the fast break that got the crowd going crazy. Smith also had some impressive passing flashes with a sweet skip pass to the corner when he drove baseline really catching my eye. A skilled player with soft hands, a smooth 3-point shot and battling in the paint is an excellent combo for a guy with Terry's size. Hoping to see more plays like the one where Terry took a few dribbles and finished with his left hand extending past a shot blocker.
