New Faces in New Places: Christ School looking to repeat

Fresh off a 4A NCISAA State Championship season, he's shown no signs of slowing in adding more talent to an already special group. [player_tooltip player_id='1352799' first='Tyler' last='Jones'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1990406' first='Dacen' last='Petty'] will be the leading names in their backcourt but they've got even more talent in their 2027 group with the additions of [player_tooltip player_id='2382809' first='Trevor' last='Manhertz'], [player_tooltip player_id='2301226' first='Caleb' last='Nixon'] and <strong>Micah Goodlow</strong>. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Manhertz is probably their biggest addition given his potential ceiling. He's got room to really blossom as a 3-AND-D prospect in their rotation. He excelled in his role with Green Level this past season, knocking down 55 3-pointers as a sophomore on 41 percent shooting from behind the arc. He averaged 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game and had himself a productive summer on the grassroots scene with [program_tooltip program_id='2840573' first='Garner' last='Road National'] and their 3SSB program. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nixon was a budding prospect at Kings Mountain High this season before his season was cut short due to injury. He'll look to bounce back even stronger with a talented backcourt around him. He put up 13.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest as a freshman for the Mountaineers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Goodlow produced 8.8 points, 2.4 assists, 2.3 rebounds and knocked down 22 3-pointers as a sophomore for an Alexander High squad that went 22-8 in 2024-25 and finished 13-1 in the region. His presence will bolster an already strong backcourt for the Greenies as they look to repeat.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the frontcourt, 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2683034' first='Hudson' last='Hatch'] is an emerging prospect to get to know given his presence and abilities around the rim and painted area. He spent this past season at Phillip Simmons High in Charleston, SC, where he produced 10.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game for a 19-6 squad in 2024-25.
