This past weekend we had a ton of fun basketball going down in Ladera Ranch, California with a lot of talent on display from the State of North Carolina. It has been great to follow these groups as they prepared for session one and it was great to track their performances from this past weekend. Without further delay, let's take a look at some of the standouts!

Roper was a top performer for Team Loaded VA 3SSB this past weekend in the 15u division, utilizing his versatile skillset and productive brand of basketball to help guide his team to a 4-0 weekend to get their season started on the right foot. Roper averaged 13.0 Points, 4.9 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists, and 2.5 Steals on 58/44 splits (no FT's attempted) per game throughout session one. Roper is a big, strong, and physical guard with the ability to make plays for himself or others from a variety of spots on the floor. He's steadily improved his jumper, hitting 1.0 3FG per game as well, becoming a more reliable outside threat. A high IQ and a high motor will guide you along in the right direction, especially combined with physical gifts and an emerging skillset.

Bowen was a huge bright spot for this [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 15u group that unfortunately struggled to rack wins up this past weekend but the strong young guard was able to produce at a high level for his team which isn't surprising at all considering the success he had in the high school season. Bowen averaged 15.5 Points, 2.0 Rebounds, 1.0 Steals, and 0.5 Blocks per game while shooting 43/33 from the field and three, including a 25 Point/4 Rebound performance vs D1 Minnesota. Bowen will look to help rally the troops for this [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 15u 3SSB group as he has proven himself as a reliable producer and a name to monitor closely on this team.

Okauru is one of the top young front-court prospects in North Carolina after a really strong season at St. Christopher with his ability to secure rebounds and anchor his defense as he's a high volume shot blocker. He helped this [program_tooltip program_id='2227286' first='Team' last='Loaded South'] 3SSB 15u group to a 2-0 weekend with his two way effort. Okauru averaged 8.8 Points, 6.3 Rebounds, 1.3 Steals, and 2.8 Blocks per game. His blocks per game finished 8th for the entire session regardless of age group. Okauru is still raw in some areas but is showing improvement in his hands and will be a key big man for this group all summer long.

Cole truly stuffed the stat sheet all weekend long for the 4-0 Team Loaded VA 3SSB 15u group. He averaged 13.5 Points, 5.8 Rebounds, 1.3 Assists, 2.8 Steals, and 1.8 Blocks per game. Cole is a long and athletic forward that can operate facing up or with his back to the basket and guard almost every position on the floor as he's incredibly mobile laterally. Cole shows flashes of perimeter skill with increasing frequency and is molding himself into a guy that will start to garner real national attention in the 2029 class. Cole is a feature piece on a team with championship aspirations and it will be fun watch as these games carry more weight down the stretch of the spring/summer.

Burney is a very versatile forward with a ton of upside that proved he can produce vs high level competition this past weekend for [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 3SSB 15u. Burney averaged 7.8 Points, 4.0 Rebounds, 1.0 Assists, 1.3 Steals, and 1.0 Blocks per game while shooting 40% from the floor and 64% from the line. Burney possesses great physical gifts, and a motor that often gets him rewarded on the glass or when running the floor in transition. Burney is consistently above the rim, using his vertical pop along with a great second jump to get above the opposition. Burney is a high upside guy to track moving forward as he's showing he can produce amongst some of the nation's top 2029s.

Davis had an incredibly productive weekend for [program_tooltip program_id='2227286' first='Team' last='Loaded South'] 3SSB as he helped lead the charge for the group's 2-2 weekend on the west coast. The lanky but thin guard finished with a super impressive 17.0 Points, 1.8 Rebounds, 3.3 Assists, and 1.3 Steals per game on 50/39/88 splits. To produce with that level of efficiency vs that level of competition on that volume is a truly impressive feat that has put everyone on notice for the kind of player Davis can become/is already. Davis will continue to develop physically and it will be really interesting to see how good he can get as that happens over the next 3-4 years. Look out for Davis as he could be real breakout guard for this [program_tooltip program_id='2227286' first='Team' last='Loaded South'] 15u group.
