Bowen was a huge bright spot for this Garner Road 15u group that unfortunately struggled to rack wins up this past weekend but the strong young guard was able to produce at a high level for his team which isn’t surprising at all considering the success he had in the high school season. Bowen averaged 15.5 Points, 2.0 Rebounds, 1.0 Steals, and 0.5 Blocks per game while shooting 43/33 from the field and three, including a 25 Point/4 Rebound performance vs D1 Minnesota. Bowen will look to help rally the troops for this Garner Road 15u 3SSB group as he has proven himself as a reliable producer and a name to monitor closely on this team.

Bowen is a very versatile backcourt piece with his blend of size and skill at this age. He did a fantastic job this past weekend for Garner Road 3SSB 15u as he helped lead them to a championship in their first event of the season at Big Shots Rocky Mount Tip-Off, winning Co-MVP in the process Bowen can be used in multiple positions with his ability to bully smaller guards along with his outside skill. He’s got a great feel for the game and is used to being put in big spots as he played a key role on Broughton’s varsity team this year. Bowen’s skill, poise, and physical gifts are shining bright early for Garner Road as I expect them to over the course of the entire season under Coach Lanier and Coach Wilson.
