May 3SSB Notebook: 15u Notable Performers

As we continue on our Live Period coverage we will now make our shift to the Adidas 3SSB circuit where the State of North Carolina is well represented with talent representing our own teams and even some guys venturing out of state to play for programs beyond the NC border. Without further delay, let's take a look at some of the top 15u performers from 3SSB in Ishawaka, Indiana!    Bowen continues to provide real production for this [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 3SSB 15u group and was able to help them get their first circuit win in Indiana and was just a constant presence for this team. Bowen averaged 14.8 Points, 1.5 Rebounds, 0.8 Assists, and 0.5 Steals per game for this group in the live period. Bowen is a stronger guard that can really get to his spots whenever he wants. He can hit outside shots, finish in traffic at the rim, along with providing a ton of versatility defensively due to that strength. He found himself playing a key role on Broughton's varsity team as a freshman and that experience as helped him as he's been ushered into a primary role on this G Road 15u squad. Bowen will 100% be amongst the ranked prospects when we drop the 2029 rankings next week.     Cole continues to shine with this Team Loaded VA 3SSB 15u group as a high level mismatch forward who is constantly looking to impose his will on a game. Cole helped guide his team to another 4-0 weekend as he averaged 13.8 Points, 5.0 Rebounds, 0.8 Steals, and 0.8 Blocks per game for the session. Cole provides this group with consistent production that directly translates to them winning games. Cole's mobility at his size and age make him a nightmare to deal with on the defensive end of the floor as well as his ability to attack and exploit mismatches on the offensive end. Cole is a high level prospect that should get national recognition sooner rather than later.     Williams had a really strong session for [program_tooltip program_id='2227286' first='Team' last='Loaded South'] 3SSB 15u as the group really delivered strong with a 3-1 weekend in Ishawaka, Indiana in front of coaches. Williams averaged 14.8 Points, 2.5 Rebounds, 2.8 Assists, and 1.3 Steals per game on the weekend. Williams is quick with a ton of confidence in his ability to finish at the rim. He also provides a ton of pressure to opposing ball handlers, taking real pride in his work at the defensive end of the floor. He can hit outside shots and as he improves his overall consistency from distance, he'll start to really achieve his potential as a player. Williams will also undoubtedly be amongst the ranked next week once these 2029s make their debut.     Burney continues to really prove himself as a viable prospect in this 2029 class with the work he's been putting in for [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 3SSB 15u. During the live period, he averaged 10.5 Points, 3.5 Rebounds, 1.0 Assists, and 0.8 Blocks per game. Burney is a super versatile two way player that has so much untapped upside but maintains his status as one of this teams top producers. Burney will be a name to track closely in this 2029 class for years to come as a versatile, two way, above the rim forward with an emerging skillset.     Murchison is another confident and skilled lead guard on this [program_tooltip program_id='2227286' first='Team' last='Loaded South'] 3SSB 15u team that has been been super solid for this group throughout the spring portion of the travel ball season. For the live period weekend, Murchison averaged 16.5 Points, 3.8 Rebounds, 0.5 Assists, and 2.8 Assists per game. Murchison took it upon himself to be a primary scorer for this group in this loaded backcourt and it was really impressive to see him take this initiative and run with it. He had a huge 22 Point and 5 Steal performance in a dominant win vs 7 Days Basketball and it should be a sign of things to come for Murchison. Look out for him in this increasingly stacked 2029 class.     Roper continues to be an absolute mismatch in the backcourt for this Team Loaded VA 3SSB 15u group with his blend of size, strength, and skill helping him produce at a very high level. On the weekend, Roper averaged 10.0 Points, 2.8 Rebounds, 0.8 Assists, and 1.3 Steals per game. Roper's ability to operate with poise as a ball handler to help run a teams offense while being a physical force that can just overpower other perimeter players when given the chance. Roper had a really strong season at Knightdale and continues to prove himself as a premier player in this NC 2029 class every single time he suits up, regardless of setting.
