This is the time of year for signings and commitments! Over the past week we have seen quite a few prospects come off the board and pick a school of their choice. Listed below are some players that you may have heard of as well as some new names that may be headed to your favorite school.
West Bladen HS F John Bowen Committed to Belmont Abbey, Bowen is a stretch forward that can shoot the trey ball very well. He will join former Goldsboro HS star Guard Myron Carmon as well as Freedom Christian Academy PF Thank God Avar.
Greene Central Forward Don Pigford will make it official on Friday as he will sign with the college of his choice at his high school.
Farmville Central Guard Tyler Maye signed with VCU on Wednesday morning, he will be a big time asset to the Rams after losing Lavar Batts to NC State.
71st HS Guard Ricardo Rubio Santiago signed with Johnston County Community College while 71st HS big man Najee Thomas officially signed with Brunswick Community College.
Former Hoggard HS PG & Cape Fear CC Guard Trae Bryant has verbally committed to the University of Maine.
Jacksonville HS G/F Jason Gidrey signed with Fayetteville Tech Community College this week.
Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University and Brunswick Community College has inquired about Clinton HS Guard Jeremiah Pope.
Former Kinston HS Guard Dominic Williams has signed with Bluefield College, Williams is a true PG that should play right away for the Rams.
Apex HS Forward Eric Fox has received interest from Newberry and Davidson County Community College.
