National Open Championship: 2028 Illinois Evaluations

His ability to make plays as a defender is something that cannot be overlooked. Utilizes a lengthy wingspan to force turnovers and lead the charge in transition. His touch around the rim could see some improvements. Showing he's capable of finishing near there in a variety of ways. He had the ability to score off a floater, a hop-step, and with both hands. He showed that he's the kind of guy that can make you pay if you're not up to speed with him. Superb length for 6'4” F and looks like he can grow a bit more. Nothing got past him defensively as he forces so many misses. His rebounding on both ends is also very valuable. But I love his ability to make plays up and down the floor. This could make him an excellent wing in his class. A chase-down block and an athletic dunk attacking the rim are just two examples of this. Showing he can score inside while attacking the rim from anywhere, including baseline. Despite his height, he also made an impact on the glass. Used his above-average length to force difficult buckets as a defender. Interesting ability to stretch out and defend on the perimeter. His ability to be a productive D2 or LM is definitely there. Great shooting abilities. Knocking down a few 3-pointers with ease on different spaces. He's also a good perimeter defender who slides his feet well. I even saw him make great finds as a passer. I like his ability to close out defenders in the perimeter and force turnovers. He also shows good speed in transition up and down the floor. This kid never gives up on plays. He contributed in a variety of ways against Indy Hoops when covering him on Saturday afternoon and again Sunday morning. Creates well off the dribble and uses good body control with the ball in his hands. Explosive, powerful play.
