The WIBCA June D1 Recruiting Event is one of the premier live events in the PNW. Here is a recap of some of the 2026 guards I saw over the course of the event who continued to show growth and are some stock risers to watch next winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2827881' first='Hudson' last='Moscrip'] | CG | 6'2 | Mount Si | 2026

Really impressed with his growth. Looked poised with the rock while also playing more aggressive, looking to attack off the dribble and looking for his shot more. Strong finisher, a lot more proactive in initiating actions. Just got the job done in a very efficient way, getting penetration, kicking and making good finishes with touch inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2510524' first='Daniel' last='Trotenya'] | CG | 6'4 | Kennewick | 2026

Did a ton of ball handling for his squad and had one of the highest usages over the weekend. Was very controlled trying to create space along the perimeter, strong into gaps, and was one of the better 3-point shooters I saw. Able to single-handedly take his team on runs to keep games close and showcased a pretty electric offensive profile.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021608' first='Dez' last='Daniel'] | CG | 6'2 | Skyview | 2026

Diverse scorer who found angles on drives, cut off trail defenders, got into defenders' bodies in the paint, and scored from each level. Played pretty physical on both ends and has shown some real growth defensively, highlighted by his effort to chase down a couple of plays and block shots from behind.

[player_tooltip player_id='1927274' first='Reed' last='Nagel'] | 6'0 | PG | Glacier Peak | 2026

Was able to get some pretty consistent penetration that helped open things up for them on the offensive end. Has shown an increased proficiency with the midrange jumper and in his ability to cash in on some threes. Nagel should play a big role for them this winter, scoring and creating opportunities for others.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375347' first='Lance' last='Horntvedt'] | SG | 6'8 | Richland | 2026

Horntvedt was very impressive at the event. Last season, he was very effective working around the paint, rebounding at a high rate, and showing the strength to finish through defenders inside. At the event, he showed an advanced feel working in the midrange and with the ball in his hands on the perimeter. Had the size and quick moves to separate for midrange pull-ups almost at will, and showed some great feel in the pick and roll to read the initial action and the second level of defenders, then get downhill to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021603' first='Jake' last='Sprangers'] | SG | 6'5 | Roosevelt | 2026

Continues to use his strength to give him some positional versatility on the defensive end. While he shoots it well from outside, he's also been an effective rebounder and interior defender. Plays with good toughness, made an impact around the cup on both ends, and continued to knock down shots.
