CERRITOS, Calif. — The Elite Hoops Association (EHA) circuit West Thriller has become one of the west coast's best non-live events and a must-stop for circuit and non-circuit programs looking to get competitive games prior to jumping into their respective shoe company or independent events. We were at Cerritos college for Sunday's action and below are the scoring guards who stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='3026766' first='Christian' last='Rogers'] | 2027 | BTI United

Rogers blends a combination of dynamic speed and shot-making ability that makes him a tough cover in open-court and half-court settings. The 5-foot-9 guard out of Campbell Hall thrives in isolation situations where he gets his defender off-balance with changes of speed and direction to get into a balanced and quick trigger pull-up jumper. Rogers, though a bit undersized, is a crafty finisher around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2625619' first='Davion' last='Shareef-Dulaney'] | 2027 | Select Basketball

Shareef-Dulaney was one of the better pure shooters we saw on Sunday. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard out of Washington state is best in spot-up situations where his balance, textbook mechanics and quick release allow him to get his shot off with little time or space needed. Shareef-Dulaney showed deep range consistency and a high IQ when moving without the ball to create passing angles on drive-and-kick opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746605' first='Jaizahn' last='Lewis'] | 2028 | Cali Gold

Lewis was at his best when attacking the rim in transition settings as his combination of explosive speed, vertical athleticism and physicality allowed him to get downhill and into the body of defenders to finish through contact at the rim. The 6-foot-1 combo guard has a quick first step that allows him to get past his primary defender where he can either continue into the lane and quickly elevate to score or step into a mid-range jumper. Lewis also had the dunk of the day as he flew in for a one-handed tip-jam on an offensive rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id='2858723' first='Jaylen' last='Smith'] | 2027 | Team Lillard

Smith is one of those players who has the ability to take over a game with his jump shooting ability. The 6-foot-2 junior is most effective off the bounce where he hunts his spots at the mid-range and three-point levels and elevates into balanced jump shots that he can hit over contested hands. When Team Lillard needed a bucket late in the clock, Smith was free to clear out space and isolate or call for a ball screen where he created and knocked down jumpers off the dribble.

Keaundre Morris | 2027 | Team Why Not

Morris was an efficient floor stretching threat with his quick-trigger three-point shooting ability in transition and half-court situations. The 6-foot-1 combo guard is a rhythm shooter who stepped into deep trail threes with confidence on the break and was always shot-ready in on catch-and-shoot opportunities on drive-and-kick passes from teammates. Morris also showed the ability to attack closeouts and score at the rim on straight-line drives.

Zayne Hinkson | 2027 | GOOD Hoops

Hinkson was one of the most dynamic and crafty scorers we saw at the West Thriller. The 5-foot-11 combo guard flashed electric shot creating ability with the ball on a string, elite quickness and the ability to create space from defenders with his change of speed and direction. Hinkson, a product of Western Canada Prep Academy, is the definition of a tough shot-maker as evidenced by his deep step-back and side-step three-point shooting and mid-range creativity when hitting fade-away jumpers off of pull-ups and pivots.
