[player_tooltip player_id='2812155' first='Mason' last='Robles'] had a couple of strong performances at the Bigfoot Hoops Las Vegas Live tournament. On offense, he made shots from the perimeter and also did some scoring in the paint. On defense, he stayed in front of his man and he used his wingspan to make deflections. Hopefully he can build off this weekend and keep it going. If he does, he may be a stock riser in a matter of time.

[player_tooltip player_id='2672487' first='Lamarcus' last='Carter'] gave great effort on Saturday morning against Valentine (CA). He was hustling to come up with steals and he was able to collect quite a few. He also got downhill after his steals and scored some buckets in transition. I also liked how he played with intensity. Carter made his constantly made his opponent's life difficult on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2883875' first='Deandre' last='Speed Jr.'] was relentless with his drives to the rim against the Spokane Titans. He showed no fear and consistently made his way into the paint. From there he connected on tough shots and got to the free throw line as well. I also noticed him facilitating open looks for his teammates. On the other end of the court, he applied good ball pressure and stayed active with his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='2389573' first='Joe' last='McKinney'] was playing up in the 17U division with Vegas Proleash this weekend. Despite being the age difference, McKinney was able to make a positive impact on both offense and defense. On offense, he was able to hit jumpers and contested lay-ups. Defensively, he covered ground quickly and he blocked a few shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1668933' first='Phil' last='Gordon'] was using his mid-range game early on and created space off the dribble. From there he got good lift utilizing his legs and he was locked in from an accuracy standpoint. Making most of his attempts, and even his misses just barely rimmed out. As a defender, he was hunting steals and he didn't give his opponents much room to operate.
