caught my attention at the Easter Showdown running with Sunset Elite. He drives to the rack with a purpose and uses his frame to finish through contact. He also consistently plays with intensity on the defensive end, never taking possessions off. With his athleticism, he may have a chance to turn some heads in the coming months.

scored from all three levels against SLAM. He hit a few smooth jump shots, a three, and knocked down his free throw attempts. I was also a fan of how he operated with pace and didn’t force anything. As a defender, Carter frustrated opponents with his active hands and awareness. He finished the game as the Gators’ second-leading scorer with 17 points.

was a playmaker on both offense and defense for the Gators last night. On offense, he got downhill when there was an opportunity to do so. And he also got to the line a few times. While on defense, Carter picked a couple of pockets and helped spark transition for the Gators.

gave great effort on Saturday morning against Valentine (CA). He was hustling to come up with steals and he was able to collect quite a few. He also got downhill after his steals and scored some buckets in transition. I also liked how he played with intensity. Carter made his constantly made his opponent’s life difficult on the defensive end.

LaMarcus Carter is also on Future Elite ‘s 16U team. At the moment, his top offensive skills are driving to the basket and getting to the line. However he has also started to show improvement with his long range shooting. On defense, Carter hounds opponents relentlessly and gathers steals at a very high rate.

these past few months. He improved as a shooter and scorer, averaging 10.6 PPG which was good for third on the team. In one of his games that I watched, he connected on 4-pointers. Carter’s defense must also be mentioned, as he applies good on ball pressure. Which allows him to create turnovers and come up with steals.

made some significant contributions on Tuesday night to help the Gators get the win. On offense he was getting downhill and drew a couple of fouls. On defense, he was being a pest and used his laeral quickness to keep his guy in front of him. Carter also hit a 3 late in the 4th quarter to make it a 2 point game.

may be the guy who gets it done. He is quite annoying to the opposition with his speed and active hands. If I had guess, he will likely lead Green Valley in steals this season. Carter can also get out in transition, and drives hard when the opportunity arises.
