The Dayton Team Camp brought a handful of the top teams from southwest Ohio and beyond to compete in a competitive Saturday of basketball and in this article I'll break down nine standout performers from a busy day of basketball.

There haven't been many better shooters this summer than Santiago Lugo as he has lit up scoreboards across the midwest as Cincinnati Princeton has been busy at numerous team camp and shootout events as they prep for the June live periods. Princeton has a ton of guard talent and their swarming defense creates a lot of steals and transition opportunities and Santiago Lugo isn't shy to fire away from 3-point range in transition. I expect Princeton to be one of the top teams in the GMC this season.

Pickerington Central has been short-handed at a bunch of events this summer but are starting to hit their stride thanks to a breakout summer for Moore III. A quick twitch athlete, Moore III changes directions quickly and has a lot of burst with the ball in his hands. Moore III was most productive offensively in the open court but his length and athleticism makes him a potential impact defensive player as well. I think Moore III could be a breakout name this winter in central Ohio.

Making the move from Dunbar to Trotwood Madison, Taylor finds another one of the most historic programs in Dayton to make an impact for. I've found the Rams recipe of having a bunch of aggressive and swarming guards with one big presence on the interior as a good formula for winning. Since I last saw Taylor he looks quicker on his feet and was finishing in the paint efficiently. Opponents couldn't keep Taylor off the offensive glass as well, creating even more extra possessions for Trotwood Madison. When the Rams can turn you over and get offensive rebounds, the amount of extra shot attempts pays off for them in the long run more often than not.

Clarke looks ready to take that next step as a forward who can do a little bit of everything offensively for his team. I was really impressed with some of the left-handed finishes Clark had were really tough. I've also been impressed with Clark's improved 3-point shooting and his overall motor and production since becoming a primary option. Strong small college target from eastern Kentucky.

Springfield has a ton of athletes that just flat out get after you on both ends of the court and I'm not sure any player does that as well as Rice does. A forward who relentlessly attacks the rim with the ball in his hands, Rice is going hard downhill whenever he sees an opening. That motor and effort is also shown when Rice fights for rebounds or works defensively. I was impressed by a few players on Springfield and despite not having a full roster, they looked like one of the better teams in the Dayton area on Saturday.

Like I mentioned previously, Springfield had a handful of players that caught my eye and their 2027 duo of Wallace and [player_tooltip player_id='2882196' first='Immanuel' last='Carey'] were impressive lefty wing guards. Wallace had a floater off the DHO where he got downhill and hit a couple shots on the perimeter as well. I also noticed a couple of simple, but effective, throw ahead passes to teammates to help get Springfield easy looks in transition. Springfield has had a couple down seasons but look like they could be back in the mix for a conference title with a strong core of returners and some new names ready to make an impact.

A new addition to Toledo St John's, Theobalds was one of the top scorers in northwest Ohio at Rossford and adds a dynamic scoring punch that will improve the Titans. A high-level perimeter shot maker, Theobalds was making shots off the catch and playing off his teammates well offensively. If Theobalds can impact the game defensively then he will be a big-time addition for an experienced Toledo St John's squad.

Delphos St John's were dominant in a victory over Centerville where their shooting depth really stood out. Elwer has impressive positional size and showed off his ability to attack in a straight-line drive after he knocked down a few 3-pointers that caused hard closeouts on him later in the game. Good to see Elwer look more confident as a scorer and with the ball in his hands because he has the physical frame and ability to be one of the top small school players in northwest Ohio this season.

This was my first time really getting to see Easton play as the last time I saw the Blue Jays it was the summer entering his freshman season and he was only playing a small complimentary role. As an Elwer he is going to knock down shots from the perimeter, be active and in the right spots defensively and compete on both ends of the court. I saw a couple nice off the dribble moves from Elwer in the game I caught, flashing some self creation ability as a combo guard who can play on or off the ball, getting some valuable reps bringing it up the court and setting the table.
