Making the move from Dunbar to Trotwood Madison, Taylor finds another one of the most historic programs in Dayton to make an impact for. I’ve found the Rams recipe of having a bunch of aggressive and swarming guards with one big presence on the interior as a good formula for winning. Since I last saw Taylor he looks quicker on his feet and was finishing in the paint efficiently. Opponents couldn’t keep Taylor off the offensive glass as well, creating even more extra possessions for Trotwood Madison. When the Rams can turn you over and get offensive rebounds, the amount of extra shot attempts pays off for them in the long run more often than not.

Taylor is a hard nosed wide body post who has no issue throwing his weight around the get what he wants on the offensive end. He has great touch and showed that he could finish in an array of ways. He scored through contact and converted a few tough looks. Taylor was able to get 2nd chance efforts with his rebounding. He had a 31 points in the loss. Taylor also was able to get to the foul line. I liked how he stayed within himself and took high percentage looks. He is a name college coaches should have on their radar.

The pair combined for 27 points and 15 rebounds. Taylor plays with a high motor and has strong hands to catch passes and secure rebounds in traffic. A name small college coaches will start to prioritize this summer.

The leading rebounder in the Dayton City League, Taylor is averaging a double-double this season. Shooting over 55% from the floor is another notable statistical achievement that Taylor is currently achieving as a Junior. I like the way Taylor scores in the post and puts himself in position for second chance opportunities. If Taylor can improve his defensive mobility and block more shots he could become one of the most dominant bigs in the Dayton area as a senior.

A big body in the paint, Taylor brought physicality to the court for Dayton Dunbar on Sunday. Scoring multiple times in the post, Taylor had a strength advantage over most opposing bigs and used his body weight to spin off defenders for reverse layups and get putback layups. Dayton Dunbar was missing some key pieces on Sunday but could once again challenge for a city league title in Dayton.
