One of the elite shooters in Ohio’s 2027 class, Theobalds was one of my biggest stock risers this weekend. Knocking down some ridiculous shots on the perimeter, Theobalds has a quick trigger and doesn’t care if there is a hand in his face. Liking the DHO actions Toledo St John’s ran for him, Theobalds curled around his teammate before receiving the handoff in shooting position. If Theobalds can prove he is capable of making an impact defensively he should have no trouble getting Division II and NAIA offers thanks to his positional size and shooting ability.

Theobalds is another new participant in the Top 64, and I think he is ready to showcase his skills at a high level. He is another highly confident player for this team who will shoot the lights out at Scott High School. Theobalds has an unlimited range with a super quick release. He gets his feet set quickly and gets his shot off even quicker. He does not lose confidence and does not need much space to get the ball off. Excited to see him in an event setting.  

Another prospect at a new school this season, Theobalds was at Rossford last season and will now be at Toledo St John’s for his Junior season. An elite shooter from the perimeter, few players can get hot as quickly as Theobalds can. A teammate with Gray for Rice Basketball Academy 16 U, this guard duo proved deadly for opposition all summer. If Theobalds can impact the game without scoring the basketball, he could be a massive addition for a Toledo St John’s squad that should have high hopes to contend in the Detroit Catholic League this season.

Theobalds is a new addition to St. John’s, and I expect him to make a big name for himself this year. This kid can shoot the lights out of the gym. His confidence and green light are at a high level. He does not need much time or space to get his shot off. He sets his feet so quickly and beats the closeout. When he gets his 1-2 feet set, and then you know to just go get the ball out of the net. He has unlimited range as well. He has such a quick release.

A new addition to Toledo St John’s, Theobalds was one of the top scorers in northwest Ohio at Rossford and adds a dynamic scoring punch that will improve the Titans. A high-level perimeter shot maker, Theobalds was making shots off the catch and playing off his teammates well offensively. If Theobalds can impact the game defensively then he will be a big-time addition for an experienced Toledo St John’s squad.
