An emerging player in the state's 2026 class, Hermsen can do it all on the basketball court. He can rip down rebounds and lead the fast break with his ball handling skill and speed with the ball. He can score from the perimeter with his shooting skill or in the paint with his size and verticality. And he can defend bigs near the hoop or go outside and guard wings. Hermsen's combination of size, skill and mobility are major assets for a Lancaster squad that is hoping to end Platteville's three-year stranglehold on the Southwest Wisconsin Conference championship.

Schoepp has taken big strides in his game over the past two seasons. Credit the coaching he has received at both Richland Center and with the [program_tooltip program_id='2078835' first='Wisconsin' last='Swing'], but also credit Schoepp, who has worked hard to improve his shooting and add some weight and muscle to his frame. He put on a shooting show in the final five minutes and overtime of Richland Center's loss to Assumption, making one seemingly impossible three after another to help the Hornets rally from a big deficit. Schoepp has good size, skill and strength, and appears poised for a couple of big seasons for the Hornets in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference.

Joe Konieczny has coached a lot of very good backcourt players during his 20 season as the Dons' mentor, including his two sons, Emmett and Mac. You can add Weiland to the long list of stellar Columbus Catholic backcourt performers. With [player_tooltip player_id='2500034' first='Mac' last='Konieczny'] on the bench in street clothes recovering from wrist surgery, Weiland stepped into the limelight for the Dons in Prairie du Chien. He drilled multiple three-point baskets in each outing for the Dons and used his physical strength and shot-hunting ability to break free from defenders to get good looks at the basket. Weiland is the type of player who can get you five or more three-point baskets on any given night. He earned second-team Eastern Cloverbelt Conference honors as a sophomore after averaging 13.7 ppg and making 94 triples in 27 games.

Hard-working frontline prospect who has improved in virtually all areas of the game. That pretty much sums up the skinny on Breidel, who gives you 110 percent on the glass, runs the floor like a guard and can make shots near the basket while also stepping outside to connect on some three-point attempts. Breidel isn't the best athlete or most skilled player in the gym, but his effort is always impressive and his steady advancement in skills is starting to pay off for Edgewood and coach Kevin Schmotzer.

A pure dynamo on the court. Kauffman is everywhere at once. His speed is his biggest attribute, but his craftiness with the ball ranks up there as well. A backcourt of Kauffman and [player_tooltip player_id='2121317' first='Taylor' last='Williams'] is worth the price of admission as both players compete with all-out hustle and dogged determination. Kauffman can score from deep and in transition, and he's also a good passer. Lancaster went 3-0 in Prairie du Chien and might have been the best team in the event, in large part to the excellent all-around play of its energizer.

Will be forever remembered in Mineral Point basketball lore for his game-winning rebound and subsequent basket in the final seconds of the Pointers' 65-64 win over Kenosha St. Joseph in the 2024 WIAA Division 4 state-title game. He has done a lot of winning during his two years of varsity play for Mineral Point as the Pointers have gone 55-4 in that time span. Aschliman steps into an increased scoring role for the Pointers and new coach Bret McGraw this season and he showed in Prairie du Chien he's up to the challenge. A strong presence on the floor with his size, strength and skill, Aschliman figures to rank among the very best players in the Southwest Wisconsin Activities League in 2025-26.

Quick-on-quick point guard who is fearless taking the ball to the basket. Even at just 5-foot-7, Dennis can finish over taller defenders with his athleticism and speed. The speedy lead guard showed strong leadership skills for Riverdale and coach Chris Kinyon in Prairie du Chien, helping his squad to a 3-0 record. Dennis' ability to score from the perimeter, off the dribble and from the foul line were all impressive.
